Lariat EV Owners: Has anyone had any success at applying for the $2500 rebate? When I attempt to submit my application online my VIN # is rejected. According to the Eligibility List the Lariat ER is eligible, but the Platinum is not because its GVWR is above 8500 lbs. The GVWR on my truck is 8550, hope I didn't miss it because of 50 lbs.

You answered your own question. Your GVWR is 50lbs too much for the incentive.

I too am having the same experience…the web registration fill-in form does not accept my VIN as a “Lariat “. I’ve talked to the people at the rebate program twice….they are aware of the issue as others have called and reported the same behavior when trying to submit an application.

I was told the issue rested with the State Department of Revenue, who provides the program with the database of acceptable VINs….. thus, @ExCivilian ’s below reply is probably the reason DOR has not put our VINs into the rebate program’s database.

Representatives I talked to said they are in conversation with Oregon DOR to get clarification on the issue and to check back next week….I’m not holding my breath for a positive outcome….50# will probably cost all of us $50/lb💸💸💸💸💸⚖

It says the vehicle must have a base MSRP of 50k or lower. Didn’t the Lariat model start higher than that?
I got the Lariat ER so it’s way out of that price range.

When I emailed them last year they confirmed it was the MSRP of the base model (Pro @ $40k), and trim prices did not matter. So they all qualify on price, but platinum is out due to GVWR.

My VIN decodes at GVWR 8001 to 9000lbs??? Do we have a VIN issue? What is the GVWR of the Lariat?

https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder/

Yes.…my GVWR is 8550# … see my delivered window sticker and previous post. I was hoping, but I’m not holding out hope any more…….

Yes, but my dealer honored the $1,695 as price-protected….

My dealer honored my original $1,695 shipping fee under Ford’s price protection policy and credited me $100 on my sales paperwork…..

As will mine, but the increased (after order placement) delivery puts my sticker MSRP $94 over $80k, and if my delivery does not happen until 23, I also lose the $7,500, in addition to the $2,500.

They can't fix the sticker, but will credit the charge.

Great news, Oregon CVRP has approved our trucks for the rebate. I just submitted the application online. The email said all trims so I guess the Platinum would qualify as well.

Good afternoon Daniel,

Thank you for your patience while DEQ and Ford discussed rebate eligibility for the Ford Lightning. DEQ has deemed all Ford Lightning trims eligible and applicants waiting to apply can now do so by filling out an application on our website: https://evrebate.oregon.gov/.

Thank you again for your patience, and please let is know if you run into any further issues applying for your vehicle.

Just tried the rebate - they have approved 2022 trucks but not 2023 ones. Told me to keep checking back.
