“Best” leveling kit?

I just put the Falcon kit my 2021 F150. They fit exactly the same. I'm aware they are making a new kit for the 14th Gen and adjusting the dampening. I have the Max tow package on my truck and the 15-20 kit that is currently available is comfortable and drives great. Your results might vary but I got a full 2.5 inches in the front.

Thanks for sharing Backroad Driver! It looks like you have the leveling sensors on your upper control arms as well, have you noticed any issues with lane keep assist or active cruise control?

Hey @Backroad Driver , I'm curious what your thoughts are for this kit off-road (if you've done that yet) and now that you've driven it for a bit?

I was eyeing these before purchasing the truck and I'm super interested in going this route, as I don't want to sacrifice my max tow package.

This is an awesome video showing the Ford Performance Lift with FOX Coilovers in the front and Fox 2.0 shocks in the back. The lift looks great and allows them to fit 305/55R20's with 20x9 -12mm Wheels. Much better than a hockey puck lift but you'll pay a lot more for it ($1495 from Ford plus install).

I like the look of the 2" Ready Lift honestly, I like how it keeps a little rake, but if the Ford Performace/Fox system is a better ride and same looks, I may go that way. Thoughts?

You will get a better ride with the Ford Performance level. The Ready Lift is a hockey puck lift which will keep the same shocks and struts as stock. Very similar ride to stock. The Ford lift is a replacement strut in the front and shock in the back. They have been valved and designed for a heavier wheel/tire combo which makes them handle a little better on the road then the Ready Lift and way better off-road. Either will get the job done, both will give you the same level and appearance (Unless your looking inside the wheel wells) and they will both handle the same size tires and wheels. Comes down to if your willing to triple the price to get somewhat better performance? Here is a picture of a custom truck by a Canadian Ford dealer with the Ford Performance lift.

That’s the only drawback of modifying a suspension on these trucks, you typically lose a lot of that nice factory ride. I know this sounds a little odd, but I was hoping to keep some of the factory rake too. Supposedly the FX4 has 4 inches of rake, so lifting the front and 2 inches will still give me 2 inches of rake. But I don’t know if that Ford performance system and the new rear shocks changes any of that in the backend. That picture right there looks beautiful, but that truck is nearly completely level and I don’t see much rake it all.

Most people have less rake in an FX4 then more. The struts in the front tend to be a little stiffer resulting in a slightly higher ride. The rake should be between 2-3"'s for any of the models. If you want a factory like ride, go with the hockey puck style lift. You cannot control the rake with that type of lift though, the size of the puck is the size of the puck. The Ford lift you can adjust the front strut from 0 to 2"'s of lift. If you want more rake you adjust the strut down to a lower lift (They come preset to 2" but you can change them).

That’s awesome, thanks for the info. I’m seriously very torn, but maybe I will stick with the ready lift after all. Anything to keep the field as close to the nice factory right as possible. I also don’t wanna mess up any of the sensors or technology, but with all the posts on here it seems like none of these 2 inch kits will mess anything up. Are you familiar with tire size at all? I’m trying to see if I can safely fit 285 65 20 on a 20x9 wheel with +18 offset on these 2” kits. I watch that video from the Canadian dealer that you posted, but I didn’t want to go as wide as he had. My biggest thing is to get maximum tire size without rubbing, cutting or trimming.

Yah, not a 100% sure, obviously you can go with 305/55R20 on 20x9 -12mm wheels like the guy did in the video. Would think there would be a happy medium of height to width that you could go with to get higher and less wide. This thread has a couple people who have done 285/65r20 on a 2" lift and been able to fit with no trimming so looks like its possible.

I'm sure it would be fine. Only issue is you'll have the standard shocks with heavier tires\wheels so could run a little rougher. Doubt it would be very noticeable but I have never ridden in one with upgraded fronts and not rears so your mileage may vary.

I’ve got the FX4 package with shock, but typically even that stuff wouldn’t be very impressive.

Installed the falcon sport / tow haul kit today haven’t put too many miles on it yet but my 30 minute drive home was absolutely phenomenal! Much better ride over stock running the toyo open country AT3 in a 35x12.5 on a 18x9.5 +20 offset zero rubbing and no crash bar modification or trimming. I’ll get better pictures later...
