Hi! My 23 is a magnet for bird droppings. This past weekend I washed it on Friday. Saturday morning, the driver's door and window were covered in bird droppings. Not one or two spots, COVERED. I needed to use a rag to open the door. Washed again on Saturday. Sunday morning, same thing. It is only the driver's door. My other vehicles got nothing. When other vehicles are parked in same spot as the Lightning, nothing. It seems to happen when plugged in and charging L1. My L2 EVSE is at the other end of the property, and when it is L2 charging there are no bird droppings. Anyone else experiencing this?

I used to deal with something similar on my 2018 F150 (ice) where a Cardinal would fight himself in my driver's side mirror and while battling himself poop all over the door window and mirror. He even managed to scratch the mirror itself with his beak. Had to fold my mirrors in to stop his endless battles and my endless cleanups.

Probably the window tint is just right to provide a bird or birds with a reflection to battle. Similar to Chris’ experience. I have 1 window on my house that will attract birds like that when the sun is just right.

I have the exact same experience. Thinking of cutting my tree back. It is so annoying always on the driver's side door and mirror. Doubt it's anything other than a coincidence, and the birds favorite spot to take a dump but yeah.

I think it is a political statement. Are any of your neighbors against proliferation of EVs? Have you noticed their bird feeders excessively full in attempt to give you the bird?

p.s. We had the combative cardinal situation with the mirror. We had to cut off his twitter feed and everything was fine after that.

Not a fan of social media. I am hoping to become a recovering addict myself soon. In general, regardless of which ideology or political party you are into, the only thing hating individuals is good for is selling advertisement. It rarely fixes anything. I am more into hating bad systems and processes that give incentive to individuals to act against public interest. Unless you fix the flaws in the system, people will be replaced by others behaving just like them. Elon as a person has a lot of qualities I admire and some that I don’t. Masses always need someone to idealize and follow. As imperfect as he is, he is better than a lot of other folks in history people hitched their wagon to. Telling people they are better than others because they drive a Tesla and they should go to Mars sound a lot better than telling them they are better than others because of their genes and nationality and they should invade another country. I know this is not where you were going but I had to get my morning rant out of my system which is kinda related to the topic (bird crap ;)

I have a sort of similar problem with my Pro . The birds keep hiding in those plastic wells attached to the frame over night. They poop all over it when I go to work in the morning. Worst of all, I've seen some grass pieces in there. I'm afraid if the weather warms up just a little more I'm going to be digging nests out if I don't stay on top of it!

I had trouble with a Mockingbird and my 2000 SVT Lightning a few years ago. I cut off his twitter.
