Acceleration Hesitation

Curious if anyone else has this problem. When pushing the accelerator (semi hard) the truck takes off then violently quits accelerating then a half a second later it resumes accelerating. All motor power is lost momentarily. Is this normal. Its not a good feeling. Thanks.

I guess I will be taking it in. Bummer, brand new vehicle. I've Been trying to show friends the acceleration to help justify why I bought this instead of another F350 and ended up with egg on my face multiple times. Thanks

Not Normal. Mine accelerate smoothly until I pass out and my foot stops pushing the go pedal.

Not normal unless your reaching 105 MPH that quick... Mine pulls hard all the way to the limit.

Thanks all, Its like a circuit breaker trips then resets. I will reluctantly take it into the dealer that I have learned to dislike.

Hi Tom! I can look into your Lightning's concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Lightning's VIN?

Well now the dealer is telling it looks like I need a new battery on my 2 month old truck. What a disaster this lightning experience has been. Wish I could go back in time.

Dealers battery concerns have now been changed. They duplicate my problem but have no idea what the problem might be. its been 4 full days now. I have a case open with ford " CAS-43657542-Z0X7B5 " but dealer says this case is meaningless. they have their own contacts. I can't believe that no one else on this forum has seen this symptom. please chime in with your resolution.

Is your case# at Ford with the BEV team? If not, call them and get the BEV team on it.

You beat me to it. I was going to say something along the lines of "I wish mine did, then I wouldn't beat on the peddle like it stole something from me". With no traffic this week, I'm getting home with a lot fewer miles
