I am not exaggerating. I am getting old and I really do feel blood rushing out of my head at maximum acceleration. I used to have a street bike with 2.6 0-60 when I was younger and had no problem with that but now 3.9 seem to be my limit. With ICE the max torque happens in a shorter time. This thing keeps pulling until I feel like I may really pass out. Even though an F16 pilot would laugh at me passing out at 0.7 g and I have not yet but I feel like I could if I had enough runway. So now to protect, myself, others, the battery and the tires, I only accelerate at the rate I need and rarely at the maximum rate. Even when I need to put a youngster in a sport ICE car in his place, I keep him behind by a few feet instead of totally wiping the floor with him. It is actually more fun that way too.You beat me to it. I was going to say something along the lines of "I wish mine did, then I wouldn't beat on the peddle like it stole something from me". With no traffic this week, I'm getting home with a lot fewer miles![]()
I'm missing racing this season while working on a engine rebuild project, but when she is ready, looking forward to best ET: 9.661 @ 134.12 mph & 60ft 1.394 on a 2006 Harley VRXSE Destroyer.I used to have a street bike with 2.6 0-60 when I was younger and had no problem with that but now 3.9 seem to be my limit.
yep, that case is with the BEV team. I have been feeding them information but I have no response from them for a full week now. Back to driving the F250 for the foreseeable future. Is your case# at Ford with the BEV team? If not, call them and get the BEV team on it.
See POST 11, reach out via private DM with them, they generally facilitate contact & resolutions with our dealer of choice, since you're already engaged, I don't think they will be of much more assistance, but give it a shot.9 days now at the dealer. ford came back once to dealer to try to test some things. It had no effect. Dealer and ford appear to not have a clue what is the cause of the problem. I have a really bad feeling about this. Maybe my Lightning is just a lemon. Is there anyone from Ford on this Forum chat can chime in?
I followed post 11. I made contact. All I got was a CASE number. I have tried to feed information every other day to that case but I have never heard from them since the initial case was created more than a week and a half ago. I am interpreting that post as some way to pacify me while I quietly go away. I am hoping the forum has some Ford EV experts that can help instead of relaying on fords "non existent" customer support system.See POST 11, reach out via private DM with them, they generally facilitate contact & resolutions with our dealer of choice, since you're already engaged, I don't think they will be of much more assistance, but give it a shot.
There is an inside expert but he may not see every thread, I'll send him a tickle.I followed post 11. I made contact. All I got was a CASE number. Hello "Ford". Can you please follow up on this. I have contacted you back on 6/30, and then followed up with Elisa Taveras from the BEV team many times since then providing information. I have never heard from her since the 30th. My dealer has no clue what the problem is and Ford is NOT helping them. Can you please help me escalate.Hi Tom! I can look into your Lightning's concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Lightning's VIN?
Is 105 the limit? I've honestly been curious. Not normal unless your reaching 105 MPH that quick... Mine pulls hard all the way to the limit.
