I was on the fence until I saw it delays production, and I can get it done locally for about the same price and not have it wrapped up in the financing price. The only thing you don't get is the Ford logo at the front of the bed.
Pretty much exactly why I removed it from my order as well. It also got the cost under $80k so now I qualify for the $7,500 tax credit.

No window sticker yet for me but website updated yesterday to show “in production”. The scheduled week still says 9/11….

Anyone else showing “in production”?
I feel like mine has been this status for over a week, and I do not know why.

Pending strike date of 9/14. Wondering if it's completed that week and is in the yard waiting for transport or if it will sit there. Same if production isn't completed by 9/14 wondering what the odds are we will wait.

If the workers in the holding lots and rail yards are employed by Ford and they work under the same contract, I would anticipate a stoppage.

Assuming the labor dispute is resolved in time, the beauty of being in the 9/11 build week is that trucks should roll right onto rail cars and transports more quickly than trucks built and held as far back as 7/31!!! We've seen the LiFo dig out delay happen after previous, OKTB stoppages and slow downs when critical defects were determined.

My mix date is 9/15, so I'm watching Ford and the UAW with bated breath. Hope Ford does right by its workers. But I'm trying to prepare myself for a long delay

Congrat's folks, the production order as follows based on initial sequence numbers:

NOTE: anyone with spray in liner and certain special additions might see the codes and numbers change tomorrow morning, no worries the trucks are still built in this order.
So what do the numbers here mean? If my blend is 120230913, does that mean the blend date is 9/13? What does that mean for timing? The other numbers on my sticker are 16336 (left of blend) and 6218 (right of blend).

Yes, your truck will come together on Wednesday September 13th 2023, the other numbers are not so important, timing of shipping is going to be the big sticking point now that almost 10,000 trucks are on hold.

Thanks. And the hold is due to the labor negotiations? Where do you find updates about that? And what's the current estimate of how long it takes from build date to delivery? I appreciate your help.

The hold is for validation of the work product after the plant expansion and increase in workforce, think of this as a brand new kick off of a new model, not so much for the product, but the work teams and production flow in the expanded plant.

The teams appear to be running at the expanded weekly goal pace now, but earlier in August they were off-pace, combined with a one week unplanned hiatus week of 9/4 to allow them to catch up, they will be on schedule Monday 9/11.

No idea how the held productions 10K in trucks will affect shipping flow, it's going to take time to dig out and coordinate train car loading and string set up for inter regional transportation.

Your favorite purveyors of news can fill in the details about the contract negotiations

Thanks for that detail. I'm new to this whole thing. So is there even a ballpark estimate for how long it might take from build date to delivery?

You can look at your window sticker to determine how your truck will be getting to you - either truck (convoy) or by rail. Rail obviously takes longer.

Mind translating this for me?

All LIGHTNING window stickers show CONVOY, regardless of how the initial rollout from the plant happens, generally under 300-400 miles from dearborn could go directly by CONVOY (18 wheeler or similar car carrier) but to destinations further out will leave Dearborn on a rail car, transit times vary and often what seems like a short rail haul can still take time especially for routes heading west and south west, as they pass through "BLUE ISLAND" a massive rail interchange in Illinois.

We have a section under "TRACKERS" on the forum header bar which links you to train spotting techniques, after your truck is marked "SHIPPED" contact your salesman or the online customer service folks to get your rail car information, this does not work for (direct convoy runs).
