I noted this as well. Seems very unfair to me. Why should people that order after us get their trucks built and delivered weeks or months ahead?
You can compare:

Hard to comprehend what the reservation, build, production, and built ranking is for each step.... it make no sense to me.... the end result is after 2+ years of waiting I still don't have a truck; at this point I don't know how much longer it's going to take..... very frustrating, and I understand people walking away from their truck order. 🤔🙁

I am in the same boat. I have been patient and Ford is fumbling the ball on the 1 yard line. No communication (other than generic emails) and seemingly non-sensical build ordering, among other things, have me concerned about product quality at this point. Seems like they are using duct tape and bubble gum to keep these trucks together, particularly when it comes to their batteries.

Still waiting on my Built status too. I have a hunch (based on no evidence) that early built trucks are sitting in the back of the lot. Really hoping it won't be first in, last out.

I'm reasonably sure the whole process has been in flux the whole time. Dealers were always allowed to let people jump the queue, so even more chaos was injected. But a lot of it can be explained by the fact that Ford doesn't have as much control over things as you might think, and as the website ordering makes one believe. It still all has to go through dealers, and they get allocations at certain times and the ability to prioritize. Seems no accident that Plats and Lariats were at the front of the list.

I guess for me the frustration is not knowing what's going on.....
You call Ford customer Service, they put you on hold for a few seconds pretending to research about your truck status; then they give you the "it should reach your dealership around that date ( they give you a window of 6 days every time you call which doesn't mean anything...)".

Then Ford sends you that rubber stamp email "we understand your frustration..... Chain supply issues.... but hang on we will give a new status in about 45 days" (when they remember about it...).

The Ford production status website is useless; not a single update for over a month and half now.....

Then, I tried to contact my dealership.... same thing, not a word from them; but I'm sure that it won't be a problem for them to accept my check when I will finally buy my truck....
In early July 2023 they were showing 3 F150 Lightning "in stock" on their website; now they are showing one "in stock" and 54 "in transit" including my truck according to the VIN number.....

Very frustrating to say the least.....

Meanwhile, congrats to the folks on this forum that are seeing some movement about their own truck orders; at this point this the only glimmer of hope for my own truck showing up one day in the future!

Please, keep your updates coming; thank you.

Understanding everyone's frustration, but once the window stickers are sent to plant, dealerships have NO influence or control of the order while the truck is in production, hold and waiting for transit.

The logistical gods are in control, and that's mostly random chance any particular truck of the 12,000+ gets touched and readied for ship status.

It would be really interesting to compare the built/in-transit dates by Scheduled Week. As an AUG 078 Scheduled week and having now response on why my Truck is sitting offsite since AUG 18 is really frustrating and opaqueness is not helping Ford with new customers.

It's clear something happened for Lariat ERs during the AUG 07 Scheduled week. But what?

Interesting that there were trucks marked “built” that were not only in production after mine, but ordered 2 months after me. I’ll enclose my window sticker details.
It’s a Lariat SR with no bedliner. I’m curious about their sequencing. Maybe they are giving priority to ER models? Or is it the color? This whole process is giving me a whole new perspective on patience.

My truck is 592 of 696 in week 7/31. I’m thinking FILO is their process.
