Finally got some action. Not only has my tracker went to order confirmed, my ford pass was actually activated so I can see my trucks location. I’m 100% not going to be able to focus at work now

I do kind of wonder if the trucks in this build week still not marked built encountered the heater issue but they're doing the fix before marking them built. There's proximity to the build weeks covered by the recall.

I looked at all the VIN's those with BUILT or SHIPPED sts do not show a problem with the heater recall, the IP trucks aren't showing either, but not confident until I see them BUILT

When I bought my XLT ER lightning today, I got the special financing rate with the $500 cash that was offered when I ordered back in July, but my dealer surprised me and said Ford added another $1000 off the XLT lightning. So I ended up getting 1500 off plus the lower Ford financing rate. I wasn't expecting that. Anyone with an XLT to be delivered yet should definitely inquire about it.

Here's my new conspiracy theory: carbonized gray trucks aren't being shipped.

Even looking at inventory at dealerships, there's no carbonized gray trucks available...

The order I abandoned, produced the week of 9/11, has not updated from In Production since 9/19. It was also carbonized grey metallic. Conclusive proof!

What cover did you get? I ordered a BakFlip MX4 and it arrived with just the cover and rails. Every single other part needed to install was missing so its been sitting in my garage while I await parts.

I got mine through the dealership so I believe it is the BakFlip MX4 just with the Ford branding. It was $300 more than getting it from Amazon but figured it was worth it to not have to mess with install or missing parts and if I have any issues with it I just go to the dealership.

Yes, looks like the MX4 I put on my lightning except with a Ford decal.

Are you happy with it so far? I did a ton of research and was happy with the one I got and the price. Not happy with it sitting on the floor of my garage waiting for parts. To their credit, they didnt give me any problems, just asked for a shipping address to send the part to, didnt even ask for an order number which makes me think this has happened before. Just wish it wasnt sitting on the floor right now
