Two EVSEs sharing a single branch circuit won’t meet current code anywhere in the US unless your jurisdiction has amended the NEC. That will be allowed in the 2026 NEC and some inspectors may let it slide knowing it’s coming.
I doubt it will meet code in Canada either. We are probably slower to amend than you guys. EVSEs are serious power consumers so the code should be pretty tight on them.

Worth a check. I'll run through it from box to box this weekend.
Confirmed that everything is tight. It is not a wiring issue up to and including the 14-50 socket.

Hey guys. On my 3rd lightning and have had consistent problems charging on my grizzl-e. Audi, BMW, Tesla, no problem. It seems like the problem is when I plug in at a SOC below 30%, once it gets around 35%ish it just stops and gives me the over current error. When I plug in at a higher SOC (around 45-50%), it charges just fine. I have ordered the new 48A Tesla wall connector hoping the best in the biz can handle the lightning at 48A. I don’t have the time to mess with tech support so I’m just chalking it up to the lightning requesting more than the grizzl-e can handle.

I believe this is a software glitch on the Ford onboard charger requesting 48 amps, or perhaps a communication glitch between the two. The overcurrent error started for me during the 6.8.0 updates in December and continued in January when the update attempts continued. Grizzl-E replaced the EVSE in January and errors continued. In the end, my onboard charger (SOBDM) failed in February on my Lightning and had to be replaced. It has just been replaced this week so I only have one charge on the Grizzl-E so far but I expect it will be fine now with the new onboard charger. I'll update if the errors continue.

I had a similar experience in December and ended up exchanging a Grizzl-E unit but at that time I had not received any OTA updates yet. Since exchanging I have only had one over current error and have been getting regular OTA updates. Based on your experience I'm wondering if I should be expecting a problem with the onboard charger.

There have been a few failures of the charger on the forums so it is definitely a possibility. FYI it took nearly 2 weeks to get the part. I still drove on DCFC while waiting.

Update. The onboard charger was replaced, but the Grizzl-E Duo still errored out. I began to wonder if the Grizzl-E killed the communications port on my onboard charger effectively killing the charger.

I replaced it with an Emporia and I can now change amperage in the app. I now charge the wife's MME on a separate 16 amp L2 EVSE and adjust the Emporia to 32 amps when I need to charge both (60amp sub-panel in the garage). I can swap the cables on the rare occasion when she needs more charge than me. Not as convenient as the Grizzl-E Duo concept but more reliable and faster. The bonus is that I can charge at 11kw with the Emporia if the wife doesn't need to charge the MME. This nearly always solves my occasional problem where 9kw didn't get me to target SOC in my 8-hour TOU window - now it nearly always does.
