I texted him last night (about the adapters)... So far our partnership has been respectful.... Musk is responsive and we respect each other ....
This right here is why I hope Ford wises up and does not go with Tesla on anything else. Elon is a poor CEO and doesn't have a clue how to run a company. Having the NACS charger is a great idea and I am okay with it but this is why I would not trust getting FSD for Ford. Just my thoughts, I think Tesla's are great and I owned one but I do not plan to purchase or use anything Tesla makes as long as Elon is the CEO.

Elon is so far from perfect, but what other leader out there making almost perfect charging gear do you want Ford to team up with? They have to team with someone because they don't have their own. Your choice. You want EA experiences or Tesla. There is only one choice.

Far from the truth, there are more options. Yes Tesla has the biggest, but look what Elon just did. Fired the whole team because his ego was bruised when he was told they weren't going to lay off more staff. Two months and he has shipped 2k adapters? That is pathetic. Ford has money, Ford could buy or invest in their own network. As long as Elon runs Tesla they will continue to do stuff like this and people will just be like "Well they have the best, what else can we do?" Doesn't matter if you team up with the biggest and best if the biggest and best is run by a narcissistic billionaire baby. What good does it do me to have the software for the world's biggest charge network when I have no adapter to use. I'm sure this also will delay NACS ports being installed by default on Ford EV's because Tesla will probably supply those too. Elon got his money so he doesn't care. Sorry but you will not convince me Tesla is a good company at the head of Elon, and I would know again had a Tesla Model Y for two years and don't miss it.

Let's be honest. This is a really good sign. What seemed like a possible end to free adapters for the year now has some reasonable hope to deliver only a month late.

Now i'm curious if the build has changed any since the first batch since noone really knows why there was a hiccup in shipments. It could have been the layoffs or a design tweak or a widget shortage.

Maybe they had a problem with tolerances on the locking mechanism, like others have, and had to pause shipments while they resolved it.

So far we have Lectron totally mis-designing the lock (or mismanufacturing it systematically and severely - who can say?) so the adapter could come loose while charging, and A2Z with sporadic issues with tolerances that are too tight for some of the Supercharger connectors in the field, which evidently they've addressed on newer production - I just ran into my first issue with this last week. I would not be terribly surprised if Tesla had some kind of problem in this area too and had to change things.
