I'm curious what you were hauling that was that heavy.
All my house hold goods, the secretly heavy stuff was things like firearms, ammunition, computer and associated equipment, workout equipment, work equipment and gear. It all added up, I packed the truck with every inch it had because I also underestimated the size of shipping unit I needed for everything else.

Welcome to Cali. But, why? lol
Temporary assignment for work, I still maintain my Florida residency and plates (no front plate) and I'll return in just under a year. That said, initial impressions are that dry heat feels much better than the insane humidity. Flip side, those agriculture inspections at the border freaked me out, I don't have nothing illegal but the idea of being randomly stopped and searched in my first minute in California was alarming. Never heard of them before.

Be careful with firearms and ammo in CA vs FL laws.
Ahead of ya on that one, I left any that exceeded magazine limits at home. I maglock'd my AR10 and it only uses 10rd magazines anyways. My trusty Supressor also stayed locked in a safe back at my home too. I also carry but California has no reciprocity with Florida so I disarmed before approaching the border (kinda awkward to do at a supercharger and the cybertruck next to me did promptly leave, no cops called tho) and stored all guns in lockable areas with no ammo in the magazines. I'm hoping I've covered all my bases, I only ever plan on shooting around the desert on BLM land.

I have no intention of judgment or condemnation, but I do feel compelled to add a different perspective to exceeding the design limits of any piece of equipment. I feel compelled because I have been involved in way too many after-the-fact investigations of disabling personal injuries and fatalities where equipment was operated beyond its design limits.

Exceeding the design limits without an accident tends to create a perception of acceptability. One bit of wisdom shared with me is, "The lack of an accident does not indicate the presence of safety."

Imagine yourself in a courtroom as the defendant in a trial where your actions caused an innocent person to be killed or permanently disabled. It is a tragedy for all involved. In almost all cases, it is also preventable.

I have done unwise things in my life, but I strive to not repeat them and to help others not repeat them.

Travel safely.
