Two years ago today she was unloaded at the dealership. She’s only rolled a total of 5,513 miles in 24 months, but I sure have enjoyed every mile! Every time I get behind the wheel I’m like a kid! I travel a lot for work, but I do drive regularly when I’m home. That’s why the mileage is so low. I joined this site when I reserved it, so I’ve been part of this community for 3+ years! This site has been a great resource to me. Thank you all for being part of the ride!

Sharp looking truck. Looks like you have a bit to make it your own. 🙂
I really like the last pic and the car next to it! My first car was a 1979 5.0 hatchbac, loved that car. I had 5 more that car after it.

Thanks for sharing. I like the modifacations you made to your Lightning. Looks sharp without going over the top. Very tastefully done.

Mickey Thompson’s on painted factory wheels….outstanding! I had to do a double take on the pearl and flake.

Yes sir. Powder coated the factory rims in black with “ka-chow” pockets. I wanted a subtle bling. The shop thay did the work had not used “ka-chow” before and said their whole shop was sparkling after! 😂

I'm not gonna lie. That's probably the best looking Lightning I've seen to date.

Tell us more about your mods!
First, thank you so much! I appreciate the compliment.

Here’s the list:
1. Whole thing wrapped in Xpel Stealth PPF
2. Painted roof rails black
3. Painted front light bar black but left center area clear. Clear coated whole thing.
4. Painted rear light bar, high mount stop light and mirror blinker covers with “smoke” clearcoat
5. Rough Country front level
6. Power running boards
7. Front window tint
8. Powder coated factory 22” rims in two tone black and “ka-chow”
9. Mickey Thompson Baja AT tires
10. Custom painted front and rear ford logos to match black/satin red
11. Painted front grill to be gloss black
12. Black vinyl wrap on lower front bumper
13. Removed Lightning badging from rear 1/4 panels
14. Rear Ford branded tonneau cover
15. Tuxmat floor covers/mats

I think that’s the list! Feel free to ask about any of it!

Reminds me of my high school truck, a red F100. 1/2 ton, 4 speed, I-6.

Sweet looking Lightning! Love the bright red and the black wheels. I'm curious - how do you like the 2" front only lift, and did you get bigger tires, too, like 34's or 35's? How is your mileage now? Those are the mods I am considering, myself, so I can drive high-clearance roads better when camping.

The lift is fine, I basically just wanted to take away the severe looking rake as I don’t do a ton of towing (the occasional item but I don’t own a trailer). It didn’t impact the ride or mileage really. The tires are significantly less EV friendly than the stock tires. There is a new tire out that is made for EV trucks but has a more off road look. I bought mine way before those were available. Mine are Mickey Thompsons and 35”. My average mKh is 1.8-1.9 but on some trips I can get as high as 2.5 - but my truck lifetime average is 1.8. I wouldn’t say I drive aggressively nor do I baby it. I drive it as I would consider “normal” for a middle aged guy. 🤷🏻‍♂️
