I see that 'TaxMan' has made his entrance into the world of 'youtube' via the OutOfSpec channel where KYLE is touting the brand new 'ADAPTER' for the superchargers, for the rest of us : )

Where's the HARLEY???? oh well.
Thank you!
If mother nature cooperates, I'm riding the Street Glide on Sunday, we've had a pretty good winter two years in a row!

As far as home energy charging discounts, my service with National Grid / Charge Smart program requires a connected EVSE that meets their requirements, the compensation is a discount of 3 cents/KWH in winter and 5 cents/KWH summer, so that's still a costly 28 or 26 cents/KWH compared to what some of you folks are offered.

I'm still happy to be driving the Lightning instead of the F250-PSD regardless of cost/savings

2024 Quarter 1 energy report:
2750.3 miles with average 1.6 MPK infers 1719 KWH of energy.

FCSP and Emporia energy logs

The FCSP had a few missing records due to cloud logging problems, the Emporia captures a more accurate picture of total energy to power the truck from home, but doesn't reflect the few DCFC events I had at this point.

My spreadsheet of energy consumption tracking which includes all DCFC sessions indicates a total of 2209 KWH the first quarter of 2024 total cost $694.47, over 2751 miles., the column Saved + EV CR includes a pro-rated Mass EV credit that I got when I purchased the vehicle, I account for this upfront subsidy to help with energy cost $78.13/month)

31.44 cents a KWH,
1.245 MPK (several cold weather idling sessions while not moving)
25.24 cents a mile.

Two years on the road, 19,504 miles, 12.887 megawatt hours of energy which has cost $3,547 total, comes to 18.18 cents a mile.

The former truck, which was a F250 PSD, averaged 21 cents a mile the 10 years I drove it. The first two years of the PSD's service life cost $4,028 in diesel to drive 14,625 miles, a pace of 27.5 cents a mile, I was towing more then!

The Lightning is still a blast to drive, it fits our lifestyle and travel needs, maintenance is substantially cheaper so far and has had no defects or problems to date.
