What are you paying for insurance

I’ve had my insurance from Costco through a third party Connect. No problem with my Pro since May and concurrent with my flash starting in September. When I sold my pro a few weeks ago, I kept the insurance for an extra 2 weeks to cover myself. Last week I called to cancel my pro and upgrade my Flash for business. 250/500K. Didn’t seem like anything was wrong and they issued a refund on my unused pro policy.

Friday I get home and receive a letter from Connect stating they will not be renewing my policy. Called them up and they explained that the underwriting dept flagged it as it Carries materials and equipment for my plumbing business. They don’t write this kind of policy apparently.

So I have until the start of Jan to find a new company. Along with the fact my wife’s car will go up 35% since I loose my multi car policy. My commercial policy with State Farm that I have 2 other work vans with will quote me tomorrow, but talking to a cs rep they quoted approx 539. Per month just for the Flash.

Considering my sprinter and NV 1 ton vans are less than that combined.

So those that use their Lightning for business, especially in California. Who are you insured with, and what is your 6 month cost? No tickets or accidents. 250/500K. 500 deductible.

I can't wait to see what registration costs. There goes all the gas savings and then some.

Unless it's a commercial policy, it's irrelevant to the OP's question.

Note - in MIchigan, I'm paying more than your number for Mach-E and Lightning.
