Bakflip mx4 replacement

Hey All!

I need help figuring out how to remove the old weather seal from the bakflip mx4 as they have sent me a replacement. If anyone has done this, any tips will be helpful

There's a 3M adhesive remover that you can use. You can find it at local auto shops and hardware shops.

Gotcha. You can pull it up from a corner and strip it off from the rail by hand. A plastic scraper can help to get it up if it's stuck. You can even try getting under the seal with a thin fishing line and "saw" it free from the rail. If it's really stuck, a 3M adhesive remover around the edges will loosen it up and make it easier to pull off.

The seal is worn and Bakflip will replace the whole cover if it is still under warranty. They gave me a complete new cover as it is a new design to stop the weather seal wear . Good luck…

They sent just the seal, I asked them about the updated cover they said because its just the seal they can’t replace the whole cover which I am okay with. They were atleast able to send me the seal. Id rather have a new seal then no customer service.

They sent me the seal too but it entailed a riveted bracket to be removed . Once I showed them that I asked for replacement rails but they said they no longer manufactured them and it was a new design. They offered me a complete replacement as it was less than 6 months old.
