Anyone concerned about dealer mark-ups? A Chevy dealer gouged my brother when his 2020 pre-ordered corvette arrived. They told him he needed to pay $15k above MSRP if he wanted it or they would sell it at market value to someone else...

Mark-ups sort out the ethical dealers from the rest.

There was a $5K+ markup on the Hybrid, especially if it had the 7.2kW, so that helped me choose a dealer that was selling at MSRP (and still paid full market value for my trade-in.)

I asked prior to reserving with a specific dealer and they claimed no markups and will also take Xplan. I guess it depends on the dealer.

I read something on another form regarding a bronco pre-order where someone was able to call Ford and they were able to switch the dealer using the same pre-order number. I’m noticing online a couple regional dealers offering MSRP or slightly below I’m curious if any one more offer X plan.
