The body has been tweaked but does anyone know common body wear areas on f150s in general. I don't like the looks of most add-ons but I would put a hood deflector, wheel well covers, etc for long term looks and durability. I had a 2012 ford car and the hood had many many paint chips and corrosion same with rear quarter panels. I feel like a hood deflector and flaps/rear fender guard would have made a huge difference is retrospect.

This will be my first truck, so I will have to learn this myself too.

From experience of being a little OCD with my cars, there’s nothing like a good, thick coat of a quality wax. Keeping them in the garage (if possible) also helps.

Depending on how much you’re willing to spend, there’s a whole world of ceramic and wax coatings, and wraps to protect a car as well.

My Acura TL an 09 just held up so much better then the 2012 focus which is the main reason for my concern, I understand the different class of car but I just was not impressed with the focus body. Being in Canada -35C to +35C, salt and gravel in winter etc is not the easiest environment but I always have them in a garage and wash regularly.

It really depends on where you are and what you do. I'm in the southwest and tend to bounce around out in the desert. For me, rock rails and skid plates are high priority add-ons. If you'll only be on-highway, the extra weight won't be worth it.

The very first week with the Jeep (2014). Didn't even have plates yet! ?

For you area I would for sure get undercoating. With the F150 having aluminum body panels is huge for your area.

I like stuff that does not take away from the look of my vehicle, for upfront chip protection I like the 3m clear wrap on the painted surfaces, just the very front part. That stuff has come a long way and really does a good job.

I have always gotten mud flaps for my trucks and for some reason, on the 21s there is not a rear flap part even available, just the front. I like the molded fit look of the Ford flaps.

As Kyle mention, lots of good ole wax and cleaning regularly.

Bob, what I found for the mud flaps are:

ML3Z-16A550-AA fronts
ML3Z-16A550-BA rears with support bar

I signed up through accessories.ford, got 20% off my first order and free shipping so about the same price as Weathertech or Husky. No idea if they'll fit since my truck is still months away.

Paint Protection Film/ Clear Bra would be a good choice, however, for a pick up truck it may be north of $2,000.

Actually the kit for the molded mud flaps for the 2021 F150 is 3LZ316A5505 and that is for all 4.

Yep, but it is a lot of work, if its $400 for about 20% of the truck we can imagine what the entire thing would be... needless to say I am only doing ceramic coating which I expect to be a grand :p

I picked up a set for my Lariat truck that is at least 2 months away from delivery, trying to get ahead if the curve.

I don't blame you, I liked having everything here waiting on the truck, that way I can start getting it all put on quickly.
