It does require 12V but I don’t think you have to turn it on. This is the method used when there’s a software problem and there’s no menu. There’s also a full video on towing with all the details.
Mine just showed up. They shipped with Canada Post and they went on strike just after mine shipped so hopefully the replacements don’t get caught up in that.
Can you guys clarify how we are supposed to return the recalled ones? I assume there will be instructions included with the replacement. I just want to be sure you aren’t waiting to receive the old one before the new one is shipped. The email just says “create a return shipping for customer”.
Just got 2 emails that my exchange was approved. One indicated they were shipping the replacement and the other said to prepare and ship the old one. There weren’t any instruction how to ship it back so I’ll check with them tomorrow.
It wasn’t clear but it seems like they want the old one back first. I don’t remember the exact wording but for shipping it had something about pickup so maybe they’ll have UPS or FedEx pick it up. According to the email they sent they will update in 1-3 days.

There is about a 400W overhead anytime you are charging so you waste more energy while charging on level 1 since it takes much longer. If I charge 10 hours on level 1 to get the same charge I can get in 1 hour on level 2 I will waste 4 kWh versus only 0.4 kWh.
What is your manufacture date (it’s on the sticker inside the driver door)? If it falls in this range then the dealer is supposed to do the update. They can also check your VIN in Oasis to see if it is on the list.
