This will be an interesting thread to follow. I do not think a prediction can be made on the exact repair and timing. There have been lots of threads where repairs are months, so I'm hoping for you that less than a month will complete the full resolution. FYI, that was very sad, but a nice...
Ours did that at first, but for some reason, it stopped braking and only beeps now. I did not make any config changes. It could be that I started backing up much slower. I will try to update this post when we use it again and if we find out differently.
I would not want to rent out a Lightning I owned, especially with the old saying...drive it like a rental. :)
-Lightnings can take too long to charge back to 100% which rental companies are not used to. In some cases many hours or overnight compared to 5-10 min filling with fuel, or...
That will be sad. I use the keypad every day, multiple times. I use it to lock it. I always leave the key in the vehicle. Actually, I have never taken it out in a year but maybe once when following instructions to get updates to work, but, the updates work fine with the key in it and...
I have never tried or used it either. I thought I read somewhere that Ford was going to be removing that feature and not trying to develop it anymore, even though it is a fairly mature product since they are finding little or no use by the owners of the vehicles it is equipped with.
If your Lightning is one of the first ones produced in 2022, that is the dust cover they inadvertently left in that compartment. That cover was used for the original bigger 12V battery that always stayed charged from the truck's main battery pack so it would never get too low to affect any...
I can verify your $$$$ amount. I had a snow removal vehicle back into mine a month ago. Very disappointing. $2046 for the light. $9600 total damage to repair everything. It's still not repaired, but the body shop did replace the light so it was legal to drive. They had to go to the dealer...
I tend to agree with Helliian. 2.1 is great! For what it's worth, here is a pick of my average (1.7) after owning the Lariat ER for exactly a year. I have never reset this trip meter. I do pull items about 10% of the time. Always in a heated garage, so no need to precondition. Most trips...
Not to be negative, but why have all the range anxiety along with unknown charging times with this long of a trip? Keep it more predictable and less stressful, go hybrid. They have electrical power in them also to plug your equipment in. Even the F150 hybrid. As we've read in many posts of...
At least we aren't being asked these questions by Ford yet to help resolve an actual Frunk auto opening issue...
What type of remote control do you use for your streaming service?
What is your Wifi Access Point brand? Do you have more than 1 Wifi booster?
Was your revolving WiFi camera stuck at...
Maybe I scanned this thread too quickly to make this remark, but typically the Ford Dealership may give you a full tank of gas upon purchase, why would they want or need to keep offering Free charging after a purchase...even though their cost would only be about 25% of ICE vehicles?
FYI, Mine took 3 or 4 days after the update to go back to 100 from 95%. This is when it was colder out and the batteries were not at running temp, so I thought that is what the update showed now. ??
I received the 6.8 update days ago, but my display did not change. My SOC still shows 100 all the time.
CHANGE: My SOC does now show the percentage of battery left and is not at 100 all the time. Very nice feature except now I look at it all the time. :)
Correct. An empty electrical outlet generates no electricity since the circuit is incomplete. Now if something is plugged in and not on, some things consume phantom energy which in most cases is insignificant but can turn into something that may register some usage in the long run. It's kind...
There are lots of choices that make it tougher, but I asked the Ford dealer what their most popular one was and what people liked which means they likely stock them so that is the one I got. Obviously, FordPass points contributed to that decision. So, they are OEM and there is no reason not to...
Per a Ford texting agent. According to my resources, I see that when you press the button once (within 3 ft) it will unlock and when you press it again two times (within 3 seconds) it will lower the tailgate for you. I've included a video of the operation of this feature for your review at your...
Mine does the same 3 beeps on the 1st push, but I am ok with it. Could it be a safety/scratch warning feature? I park the truck in the garage about 12" from the garage door. If someone accidentally hits the rear tailgate button, I would not want it to open the first time since it would open...
