I didnāt get a pic but stopped at a park that had one of those 50kW Tritium chargers and right after I plugged it in, it made an awful buzzing noise. For the sake of caution I unplugged, went to move to a 7.2kW AC charger next to it, and noticed power was reduced to 94%.
After two hours of...
Chevyās been nailing it on design recently compared with other US-market cars. But removing CarPlay and Android Auto means I wonāt buy one. I was all in on the new Blazer EV as a second car until they announced that. Now, Iāll just be waiting in vain for the new small Ford Explorer EV to never...
The solution to the heating problem is in my avatar.
But seriously, while I don't live in the coldest climate (far from it), heated seats + bundling up aren't the solution for some disabilities in the household.
@Dylanch has teased the solution that I want to see documented. š
I didnāt post about mine but on August 18th, with a 78% SOC and a fine day in terms of temperature and weather, my power output dropped to 56% on a treacherous two mile drive consisting of well maintained roads with no real change in elevation. Turning it off and back on a few times didnāt help...
At the very least that chain is named appropriately considering what happens a short while after visiting.
ā¦right. Unsure I saw the point in the Tesla website one considering PlugShare has a wealth more information about how chargers are - or are not - functioning.
I can't answer about the chains but I'd thoroughly recommend - if you have a driveway or garage - a good 32A+ L2 charger, allowing you to charge and precondition your battery and cabin in the mornings. It made a huge difference to range for me last winter.
The timeline is justifiable and wasnāt ever incorrect - for mere human math and time is but an inconvenience to be solved. Heās probably operating on some new timeline he stole or bullied his way into invented.
This is the first time I've had repeated failures from an update. Not pressed enough to go spend money on a laptop and dongle to do it myself.
I'll keep not paying attention to it until either (a) it succeeds, or (b) I take it in for its first service in a few weeks.
I've had very few issues - and none that have left me stranded. I still carry the key often because when I'm going somewhere I tend to need a key for a building or the tonneau cover/roof rack.
Once or twice it has decided there was no key present after unlocking, so I've used the password...
My understanding was volume deliveries were supposedly just starting June 19, 2023. With that knowledge, I don't expect to see one on the road for another few months.
With Magna Steyr handling production, I fully expect them to get there. With an experienced contract manufacturer as a partner...
If I were unfortunate enough to be in that situation - and I hope none of us are - Iād probably look to see if I could replace it with another F150L. But as I donāt really need a truck, Iād be tempted to go in the complete opposite direction and end up in a recent Mustang Mach 1 (or a late...
Napkin estimation suggests that the extra weight and battery size isnāt massively disproportionate from where the F150L would be with a 450 mile range.
My feelings:
For the WT to have doubled in price and have that interiorā¦ Thatās inexcusable.

If you can control whether itās AC or DC charging thatād be neat, but purely from a charging perspective 24kW seems a little on the low side to justify considering 19kW AC exists.
ā¦unless low-kW DCFC is no more stressful on the vehicle than high AC, I donāt see the draw. (pun intended)
Maybe...
