Taking a coffee tour at a peaceful oasis in metropolitan San Jose, Costa Rica, when spotted this! There was also what appeared to be a Level 2 charger onsite. Yesterday, enroute to the Pacific Ocean, a Rivian SUV passed by in the opposite lane.
I believe it is because it sprung off when my mirror struck the other traveling the opposite direction, and the point of impact was on the mirror cover itself as opposed to this piece. (It popped out with the peripheral force of impact).
Also, there appears to be a snap-in receptical to secure...
Nice idea, but well beyond beyond my near special needs state of being when it comes to such things. (But maybe I could hire a half-witted AI robot and start a business... on paper...)
My Lightning Lariat ER recently had a clash of mirrors with a passing truck on a narrow country road, and lost the duel. All the electronics still work, thankfully, but the mirror cover is cracked, and I have purchased a replacement. HOWEVER, Ford does not by what I can find, sell other separate...
I'm a little confused as to any MA and/or Fed rebate for buying used. I bought my ER Lightning Lariat in N.H. for under 80K and registered it in MA. Thanks for any and all insights.
Train horns are a step in the right direction. But, to prove real manhood and to truly bring godly retribution to the unwashed drivers of Las Vegas, I suggest replacing your choo-choo blasts with horns that reproduce the noise of a gas leaf blower at full throttle. That would really humble them.
I have one, if you're interested. I bought my Lariat ER used, and the former owner had the charger operational in his garage, which he disconnected and included with the truck to me. Due to power limitations, I am using an Emporia charger now, and will not be using the Charge Station Pro.
I have a Snowsport fixed blade that I have had attached to a Tacoma truck— and which has worked well on a long driveway—would like to put on front of Lightning, if feasible.
Agree. Noise pollution is one of the most under the radar public health crises of our times. A lot of it can be sourced to loud motorcycles, pickups, sports cars... Stand at any busy intersection anywhere in America and the noise is constant and deafening. (A lot of over compensating, attention...
Perhaps use Sport mode for winter driving? That seems to offer a less abrupt, 1 pedal drive type regenerative experience that might be better suited to slippery conditions.
Thanks for the detailed reply and info. I do have the Lariat ER that came with the Ford charger, but have decided to go with the Emporia and dial it down to accommodate my 50 amp circuit. Charge rate will still be adequate, especially compared to the glacial rate of the Ford plug-in 120V mobile...
My short trip was a slow, windy meander around local roads which no doubt accounts for the inflated figure. Overall, am at 2.0 which as another commented seems to be the standard figure. (I used to work in weather-- gonna use the truck for storm chasing?)
I have both. The fast charger (not installed) and the mobile charger which I am now using to charge the Lariat with glacial slowness with the 120 volt connector. Not driving much at the moment, so that's working out o.k.
The detached garage/barn has a circuit breaker box with higher amperage...
