  1. Chicago to Gulf of Mexico - Charging reports, charging speeds and costs with EA, Mercedes and Tesla NACS

Yeah, I get why you say that. My kids are amazing on road trips: really the best. They dont seem to mind and may even enjoy the extra, mandated time to stop and walk around. We had fun at the Corvette Factory, Cookout, trying Pucketts again with a live band, etc. That being said, if I 100% had...
  2. Navigation to Superchargers

Same with me. I did a whole 2000 mile trip 2 weeks ago and I didnt know why they werent appearing.
  3. Chicago to Branson and back (Pre-Tesla NACS)

Quick trip report from a few months back. I was swapping wheels/tires with another forum member, @rsanapala.
  4. Went to visit the Birthplace

Was cool to see the Rouge Electric factory and surrounding infrastructure of this historic area. Wish there was more of a visitor's center for the EV side. Years ago I took a tour of the ICE F150 factory through the Ford Museum which was pretty cool, though.
  5. Found a Lightning fire department truck

The driver was the fleet manager for the local fire department (county? municipality? I cannot remember). He requested a Lightning (good move!) and with incentives/rebates it was cheaper than a similarly-equipped gas F150. His colleagues don't seem to understand the appeal, he says, but I...
  6. 285 75 18 Nitto A/T tires on my 2022 Lariat ER

I put these 285/75/18 Nitto tires on some 2018 ICE wheels to get some more ground clearance and a better look. I have a 2" front level kit from Rough Country to make this work. To be honest, I am not sure it is worth the mileage hit (~25% loss). I might just keep these on for the summer...
  7. Chicago to Gulf of Mexico - Charging reports, charging speeds and costs with EA, Mercedes and Tesla NACS

Looonnng video (skip to the end for the data table) of my trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama.
  8. Offroading in my Lariat ER at Badlands Offroad Park

Quickly-edited video of how my 2022 Lariat ER did offroading at Badlands. Even at 20psi in my 285 75 18 tires, I only used about 12% battery all day.
  9. I got it 🙌 [A2Z adapter], have you?

Ordered 2/29. received 3/18 and it works great. It is so nice to be able to have Tesla as an option now. I went from Chicago to Gulf of Mexico last week mostly using the Ford navigation/charging recommendations. Didnt happen to recommend any Tesla charging on the way down but coming back north...
  10. Advice on New Lightning - 2023 XLT or 2023 Lariat Extended Range

I have a Lariat ER because that is the truck I found used and relatively cheap that had the options I wanted. I like the look and buttons of the XLT better. I recommend Co-Pilot Assist with the active cruise control and I kinda like the rear sliding window. Other than that, I would be fine with...
  11. A2Z EV Responses

Nothing but good things to say about A2Z from me. When I got my Ford adaptor ETA for May on Day 1 of ordering, I reserved the Ford one then went immediately over to A2Z and ordered the Typhoon adaptor to use in the meantime. The adaptor from A2Z arrived in the promised time span and, after...
  12. Stolen and Barbecued Lightning

The Youtuber said the theives thought the car was going to record their faces so they burned it down hoping to protect their identity.
  13. NACS Adapter Now Available + Ford EV Owners Can Now Charge on Tesla Superchargers in U.S., Canada! 🙌

OH yeah, sorry, somehow I missed that next paragraph. My eyes went right to the Tesla users and their disinterest.
  14. NACS Adapter Now Available + Ford EV Owners Can Now Charge on Tesla Superchargers in U.S., Canada! 🙌

Did you check that it was one of the NACS-enabled chargers? Most are of course but worth a check since yours didnt work.
  15. NACS Adapter Now Available + Ford EV Owners Can Now Charge on Tesla Superchargers in U.S., Canada! 🙌

Same, but I expect them to work the same. After I ordered my Ford one this morning and noted the May ETA I also ordered the AZ one. This way I will be more likely able to use Tesla charging on my big trip in March...so we will see how it works!
