Fair enough! Sometimes context and meaning are lost on the internet. Thanks for clarifying!
In the end, we both want the same thing: our trucks. :) After waiting 25 months, I am really burned out on waiting more. I have been patient enough and Ford continues to edge us all with these...
I mean you were the one telling me to "Shut your filthy mouth!" earlier in this thread (link) when I suggested that the impending UAW strike may delay the building and delivery of trucks. And it's funny that here you're hoping that non-union labor can handle getting trucks out the door and...
Does the Ford website show your truck in Built status or In Production? I've had my tear tag for about 10 days, but my truck is still not showing Built (I have 8/14 build week and 8/18 blend date). My dealer also shows no information on their side, so my truck's just sitting and rotting away...
All I can control is my response to a situation. If my truck is delayed by some weeks or months, regardless of the reason, I will likely reject it as I can't trust the build quality after sitting for so long (at the very least the tires will be shot). I will then wait to see what changes the...
And I will tell you as someone working in a union shop, in situations like this, morale is low and some people will take their anger out on the company in a variety of ways. Offended or not, it goes against human nature to do otherwise.
Yeah, if my truck is delayed as a result of the strike, I will likely reject it when it arrives. Combined with the plant shutdown and restart, the UAW strike means the workers are absolutely not motivated to do their best work. Furthermore, if the truck is delayed by some weeks or months, then...
My order is showing as "in production", but has no date like others I am seeing. I guess Ford hasn't gotten around to building mine? Or maybe they won't build it at all?
A few things:
When driving at highway speeds (65+ MPH), there should be no steering wheel shimmy or vibrations that indicate out of balance wheels/tires. I have had new cars that have had this problem and always have to fight the dealership to re-balance the tires. What usually happens is...
When the time comes to test drive mine, there are certain items I will be paying attention to that will ultimately make me decide to take delivery or walk away.
This is exactly what I feared might be a problem with the plant expansion. I have a 8/18 blend date and was concerned the plant expansion would result in poorly built vehicles due to undertrained and underexperienced staff.
I recently bought one of these to store in the truck (when mine arrives). I have been using it to charge my other EV as a test and agree, it's working great! Best part is my local utility sent me a check covering most of the cost of it as well! :)
