04/18 folks, check your E-mails this morning. Guy on Reddit posted a picture (I can’t post it here for some reason 🤷‍♂️) of an E-mail he got this morning from Ford indicating his truck is built and they’re performing final inspections to “ensure we deliver a vehicle that you can depend on.”
He...
I have a theory. Just an assumption, but I believe if we read into what Jim Farley said and the odd holds that are happening, it makes sense.
Remember long ago when Darren Palmer (Ford EV Chief) said the Lightning would mostly be safe from semiconductor shortages as the Lightning has no...
Did the Ford rep ever call you back? I actually called Ford CSC and the kid I spoke with said he has heard of no issues with parts and no known holds beyond this “Final Launch” BS. He couldn’t explain that.
Well said. A little effort and transparency goes a long way to customer confidence as well. Ford spent a lot of money building up the hype and making this a huge deal for them and us. It’s already beginning to sour the experience.
This whole thing is so strange. Thank you to the guys doing all the research and looking up VINs and Autotrader trying to figure out some sense of all this mess.
It's interesting that some of these trucks appear to have just been made. Their blends dates go from March to May. So is Ford...
Are you telling me Ford bambozzled all of us and are only shipping dealer demos? That would explain all the Lariats and Platinums loading up....No Pros they were "starting with" as Jim F said. We got Rick Rolled boys/girls.
Why are they even wasting parts on demo models when they can’t fulfill purchase orders?! You can’t even reserve a truck after you drive the damn demo!
F$@k!!!! I knew it. What can even be the delay? Why even bother opening up more order banks if you can’t fulfill your current orders @Ford Motor Company !!
Please post whatever info you can get Robert. Knew I should’ve placed that Tesla order at the same time. 🤦‍♂️
I did have the spray...
Thank you. I think that further lends to the assumption Ramp 59 is where the bed liner trucks are getting stored. Explains why my VV report shows "Received" and a note that it was released to the Body Shop just before that. My guess is they are just parking the finished bed liner trucks...
That could be it as well. I did ask for the spray in bed liner and as I recall, I was number 1/194 on the line once we figured out that our week had the two separate allotments (xxx/447 and xxx/194). So I think your assumption is correct. I'm going to try an not panic too much as I'm seeing...
Have you gotten any updates yet? My Vehicle Visibility report is exactly the same, but Ford confirmed it hasn't shipped yet. I'm also in Ramp 59 with a build week of 05/02. Mine was also "received" to the Ramp 59 location on 05/11...in fact, earlier that same morning.
I don't think that...
Well I'm not too worried about rust and small furry creatures as the lot is right across the street from RVEC and the other lots. So if the animals and rust are in lot 59, they are across the street too.
I'm hopeful this is just an overflow storage lot. I mean, it's better than sitting...
Curious for those who got a Vehicle Visibility report from your dealer. What, if any, ramp is your truck on? I found out my truck was completed and returned from the body shop (spray in bed liner) on 05/11. It has sat in Ramp 59 ever since.
When you google Ramp 59 you can see it's a...
I looked into it. Apparently CA84, and all the other abbreviations, only refer to a route, not a specific train or truck. So we might all be on the same route, but different rail cars, dates, etc.
Looks like I'll be waiting for my 5/2 build week truck with you. I too have a CA84 - Convoy and live in Northern California. Seems expensive to convoy them all the way from MI. Unless they go on a rail first, then finish via Convoy?
In any case, I think our trucks will make the journey...
