Amazing how many trucks are waiting for loading....

Kind of what I was wondering (adding VIN to Ford Pass, maybe I'm paranoid too). It seems we all get different errors. I just get "Feature Unavailable"... Please try again when you take delivery. I was just hoping to get the vehicle to update it's location.I am hoping no one is going around taking VIN numbers, adding them to their Ford Pass and Activating them to track these trucks. Is that even possible or am I being paranoid?
With the Mach-e, the system is disabled in the vehicle when it is put in transport mode - could be causing random weird errors.Kind of what I was wondering (adding VIN to Ford Pass, maybe I'm paranoid too). Well I'd take that as good news (trucks being in transport mode). With the Mach-e, the system is disabled in the vehicle when it is put in transport mode - could be causing random weird errors.
I had that happen. I think one of the yard people hit deny. Then when I went to activate again I got same message. I think it took a week before I could reactivate. Not to worry. Will be straighteNed out at dealer if it doesn’t correct before.Ford I think is hiding that they do have a chip shortage issue @Mike G is correct about Ramp59 being the graveyard for ICE F-150’s.
This morning I went to Activate my Lightning on Ford Pass and I received an error message. A couple things of concern for me is that when pressing Activate it seems as if the Truck is already activated by someone else
Did anyone else receive this message when pressing activate? I have not “logged” in before with Ford Pass, it doesn’t make sense. Unless it’s in regard to my ICE F-150
And I also receive this message:
What Authorization rights? Would I still be able to add this VIN to my Ford Pass if someone else had already added it to theirs and activated this vehicle?

Anyway, back to the original question, I do think there is something more than just QC
Yo taxman noel - cfo stated publicly that they have 53,000 completed (his word)trucks waiting for chips. So between all their plants and storage they have quite parking bill.Amazing how many trucks are waiting for loading....

That could be it as well. I did ask for the spray in bed liner and as I recall, I was number 1/194 on the line once we figured out that our week had the two separate allotments (xxx/447 and xxx/194). So I think your assumption is correct. I'm going to try an not panic too much as I'm seeing many more Ramp 59 trucks. Perhaps it's just where my truck ended up after production.I believe that all trucks that get a spray in bedliner get out at ramp 59 after they are done. My 21 F150 was like that too.
I got the same message as everyone the first time I tried to activate it. Start the truck and press yes to accept the activation. This time completely different. I'm not really all that worried about it. What I'm hoping is that it is already in transit since I didn't get bedliner, and that they have in transport mode which is why I'm getting this message. That likely is wishful thinking, but I'll take anything at this point. That could be it as well. As for the FordPass app, we don't actually own the trucks yet. I'm almost certain something has to occur at the dealer level letting Ford know the truck was transferred/sold and then the system will activate. Maybe something that occurs upon Post Delivery Inspection like Sat. Radio and such?
Well no not really. I had both my '21 Mach-E and F-150 PB VINs in FP before they arrived. Got notified they were onsite and as soon as I got out of my car I walked up to both of them and opened the door and selected activate and that was done before I signed anything. That could be it as well. Your visibility reports looks exactly the same as mine that I pulled yesterday. I was also produced on 5/10. I hope that they aren't just updating things effectively and there's more than what I can see.Well no not really. I had both my '21 Mach-E and F-150 PB VINs in FP before they arrived. So it just wants you to do the activation in person and acknowledge it on the central screen. Then you're in there like hair in a biscuit.
I asked for a vis report this afternoon and got the attached:
I think whoever makes up these statues used to work for the WH press office. Cause clearly they can come up with stuff, when you ask what it means, nobody knows.
Mike
Mike, did you get a spray in bed liner? I'm curious why your VV report doesn't show your vehicle parked in Ramp 59.Well no not really. Nope. I use a bed rug. And I watched a bunch of people get delayed last year for that. So I wasn't fallin' for the ol' banana in the tailpipe...to quote Eddie M...Mike, did you get a spray in bed liner? I'm curious why your VV report doesn't show your vehicle parked in Ramp 59.
