So @FordMotorCompany is punishing it's customers who have waited years for a vehicle by not giving them the same rebate as the person who decided yesterday that they want a lightning today. Thanks.....
Today Ford CS said it's being sent via convoy and gave me a company name and convoy number. I'm assuming there's no way to track that.
Order status shows an update today but the ETA is from now till the 26th.
Because whoever they hired to rewrite the manual for the lightning reused as much as possible from the ice version. "Jump start" is a familiar term used for when the 12v battery is discharged in a vehicle and you want to apply enough voltage/amperage to get the vehicle to start. "Charging"...
Just remember, any modifications to the high voltage system and you are most likely voiding your battery and motor warranty. Do you want to take that risk to be able to charge more easily? Personally I wouldn't.
Honestly both are so far off the radar for me I don't even know. The Hummer is like $120k or something ridiculous but they've made so few of them good luck ever getting a new one and I'm sure used prices are through the roof still.
They're using a skateboard like Rivian, so it's not exactly the same as a unibody but it's also not a typical body on frame like the f-150.
Personally I don't see the obsession with the body on frame. The construction method used for the Silverado EV results in a much stronger and more rigid...
Ya, I believe at the recent media stuff where all the YouTubers put out videos, they said it's going to start at $50k. We will see what happens in the future. I know Ford is working on a ranger or ranger sized EV pickup as well. So it will probably take that to get prices down.
I somewhat...
The only retail version that has been shown is the RST, where will be retail WT versions and what options are on those is yet to be seen.
I can assure you that at retail, GM isn't going to push an $80k truck that has vinyl seats as are present in the fleet 4wt that has been shown.
It has a lift, and oversized off-road tires. This is why the range is being cut by 30% when driving over 75 mph.
Put it back to stock and I'm assuming it will be back to what everyone else sees.
Ahh see but when it's a paid service, the company has a vested interest in keeping things working and customers happy. When there's no revenue stream from the application, making any changes is just costing money.
You've gotta think like a bean counter.
