  1. Has anyone successfully had HIS installed and HAPPY?

See if you utility offers something like described in this thread, where a guy got a free PG&E meter transfer switch that works with the Lightning, powers the whole house. Sounds too good to be true, but I applied and am in line to get one, fingers crossed it works...
  2. Last gasp for my Ford mobile charger ?

I've never used the included Ford mobile charger. I'd be curious to see the results of a poll asking: * I've never used my FMC * I sometimes use my FMC * I exclusively charge with my FMC at 120V * I exclusively charge with my FMC at 240V
  3. Buyer Beware - Ford Does Not Stand by its Products or Customers

Many of us had the battery module issue, it's not uncommon. And depending on the dealer it takes a day or a couple of months. Mine took one day as I made sure to take it to a dealer that has experience working on EV's (not the dealer I bought it from). Ford was great and made the appointment...
  4. The Lightning to Lightning wave

Make a capital letter "L" with your thumb and index finger. Oh wait....
  5. Easy way to safely access backup power for home and free (for some PG&E customers)

Yep, just got my new bill with the new Jan rates. Off-peak rate went up 23.9% (27.8 to 34.5 cents per kWHr) on Jan 1st!!!!!!! Here's the bill:
  6. Easy way to safely access backup power for home and free (for some PG&E customers)

Are you on an EV plan with PG&E? With EV2A plan I am currently paying $0.28 off peak (midnight to 3pm). Here are my most recent rates:
  7. Easy way to safely access backup power for home and free (for some PG&E customers)

Hi @Wsh68 , just checking in to see if you've had the chance to use this again. I've been checking the PG&E website and they finally this week restarted this program after reaching the limit for 2023. Fingers crossed I'll get approved and get it installed. However one thing they require is...
  8. Understanding my usage and capacity numbers in Wisconsin sub zero weather.

So you started the trip with 100%, had 75% at halfway point, and 50% at end of trip. Sounds to me like you used the exact same amount of battery on each leg of the trip, or am I missing something? Ignore the numbers the GOM gives you, the % is actual numbers not a guess.
  9. OK Folks, Here are the issues, need advice and information from those who have had/or are in the same situation

Curious what you paid for your new '23 Lariat ER before tags/taxes -- was it really $75K? If so prices really dropped since I purchased my '22 SR Lariat for $69K, and that was before the big price increases.
  10. SOC Display on Instrument Display

That update first came out at least 6 months ago, I have it for about that time.
  11. Lightning Dimensions

For 2022, see this post: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/exact-heights.9332/#post-181282
  12. One pedal drive fault, collision avoidance malfunction, screen turns off

I always drive one pedal mode, have never seen a fault. Can we see your picture?
  13. Standard Range Battery vs Extended Range Battery

That doesn't sound right. I have an SR and the 235 miles at 100% matches what I see on the GOM, but I do better than that in general, averaging 2.3 mi per KWhr, so I think I would make it even further than 235. Maybe you have some excessive hills or wind to deal with on the way to your...
  14. Easy way to safely access backup power for home and free (for some PG&E customers)

Thanks for this info, I had not heard of this device or the PGE program to provide them for free. Note that the PGE link you provided mentions that the program is over for 2023 but will be resumed again in 2024. I am in a Tier 2 Fire threat area, so should qualify. For anyone wondering, I...
  15. OTA woes continue

The SR Lightning maxes out at 120 kW, and that's only at the start of charging if SOC is low. So it's not an EA issue, it's as designed. See https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/electric-vehicles/f-150-lightning/f-150-lightning-charging-frequently-asked-questions/, which says this: Can I...
  16. PG&E tier1 price in past 22 years

You got me curious to see if PG&E (and CA in general) is actually the most expensive for residential electrical costs. The prices are tracked for each state here: https://www.eia.gov/electricity/monthly/epm_table_grapher.php?t=epmt_5_6_a Here are charts showing the highest and lowest 10 states...
  17. PG&E tier1 price in past 22 years

That doesn't sound right. At 37 cents and a $50 bill, that means you used ~135 kWh for the entire month, is that right? .37 sounds like the all-in price to me for PG&E. My distribution cost with PG&E is a fixed 37.6 cents per day (~$11.50/month). No way that your is $150, their rates don't...
  18. PG&E tier1 price in past 22 years

I have the EV2A rate (for EV owners) with PG&E, the current off-peak (midnite to 3pm) rate is 27.2 cents, just went up from 25.1 cents on July 30. That includes all but the min distribution charge, which is a fixed 37.6 cents per day (~$11.50/month).
  19. Who here had never owned a full-sized crew cab pickup before?

This is my first truck, and I also just barely fit into the garage (about 8" to spare), but it's definitely worth it. It measure 3 feet longer than our Jeep Grand Cherokee, so if I know we are going somewhere with tight parking I'll take that instead of the Lightning, but in general it's not...
  20. Lost Radio presets

Are they lost or do you just need to scroll down to see them? Try using the right arrow button on the steering wheel to cycle thru the presets to see if they are still there.
