I seem to recall they got rid of the dual chargers for 2024. I have a 2023 XLT LR and it supports 80 amps through the Charge Station Pro as well. It's a beast.
I bought my Lightning on 3/15 and I'm supposed to receive mine in November but Ford is rapidly running out of November. As a matter of fact, Ford will be completely out of November in 7 days and have no more November in stock. So I'm skeptical of that date.
I live in a warmer climate (SC) - does setting a departure time (plugged in to level 2) help with the winter range? It does get cold here occasionally and I have wondered if that is worth the trouble. Supposedly the battery pack is heated/cooled as needed prior to departure if you do that if I...
My F150 Lighting is my 3rd F150 (2003 XLT, 2015 XLT and 2023 Lightning ER) and the best one by far. If I outlive it I'll get another one. I kept my 2015 that I use occasionally for hauling off trash etc. but my go to is the Lightning.
I have a very similar scenario - I drive to the SC coast on the weekends and it's about 200 miles. With a long range you won't have to worry about it one way, especially if you prepare the truck for departure before you leave and keep the speed down to 70 or below but probably won't need to do...
My dealer had this set up for me before I drive off of the lot. The salesperson was very knowledgable and we had the app set up and my NACS adapter ordered before I took the truck home.
This is not directly related but something I didn't know until recently: if you want to open the frunk and you don't have your fob on you can use your entry keypad by entering your unlock code then press the 7/8 button and your frunk will open. This is very handy.
As of 9:25 AM ET on 10/3 mine says: Est. ship byJanuary 2025 Order Placed: 3/15/2024
Earlier this week it said September. Note: was later updated to November 2024. So current status is November 2024 for a 3/15/2024 order date.
What all can you power with bed outlet (240V)? I looked it up and it said it was 30 amp so I'm guessing as long as you aren't running the stove, clothes dryer or the air conditioner your are good? Is that what y'all did?
Power was out due to the hurricane and I needed COFFEE! I moved the coffee maker to the truck and brewed a pot there. Later in the morning I ran an extension cord into the house to power the refrigerator. A Lightning sure can come in handy during a storm!
If you can charge at home and don't need to tow long distances, you can't beat a Lightning. The performance is incredible, it's quiet, it's very inexpensive to operate and can do anything except tow a heavy load over 100 miles. I have the extended range so can't speak for the regular range...
I bought an XLT back in March and I worked through the dealer to have leather seat covers put on. That was money well spent for me - it was only like $1500 and even the stitching matches the rest of the truck trim. You would never know it wasn't done at the factory. So if you don't like the...
So the window sticker says 240 miles of range (or 320 with the extended range) but you don't really get that on a day to day basis because the recommend you only charge to 90%. Plus when you get underway you get "range change" a lot of times - especially if the truck has been sitting a couple...
Have you been a user of both the 12" and 15" screen? If so which do you prefer? I have the 12. My sales guy said he liked the 12 better and I think he was being candid because I wasn't yet committed to the truck I wound up purchasing (XLT). I haven't used the 15. Do you know if Ford plans to...
I don't own both but the Ford Charge Station Pro is badass. I have mine wired to a 100 amp breaker and have a long range battery in my truck and can add 71 kWh (going from 26% to 80%) in 5 hrs and 25 minutes and can top off from 60% to 80% (27kwh added) in 2 hours 22 minutes.
