  1. Looks like your F150 Lightning battery might last a long time

This thread reminds me of the “learned” discussions decades ago of adding STP to the car’s oil and when. Turns out it was all bull. And the frame rusted out in 7 years anyhow.
  2. FordPass app 5.9.0 released for iOS

What is the Security Package and where is the subscription? This is first I’ve heard of it.
  3. Bluecruise - stop and go traffic

Try it in rush hour on 95 from Stafford to Woodbridge. If you survive, report back.
  4. Missing 'Energy' Tab in App, Can't Start Charging

There is a squirrelly update going on this morning. Mine was flaky but has settled down. It initially showed the widget in km.
  5. Bluecruise - stop and go traffic

This thread is hilarious. I don’t fully trust BC on an interstate at 70 with light traffic. I can’t believe anyone uses it in congested traffic. Especially not on the DC beltway. 3 car lengths? A semi will cut in in front of you.
  6. I love this truck but GD!

-8°F? Maybe shut off your high beams? Sorry, that’s too cold for anyone.
  7. Why can't Ford get it right?

    YMMV-every vehicle ever.
  8. $200 48amp Amazon charger

You could have saved $5 if you bought it in black.
  9. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

I used the current one twice this past weekend. No problems. No heated NACS plug or adapter. I don’t need no stinkin replacement.
  10. Secure your Ford - Stolen Vehicle Services

Is this different than the Location tab in Ford Pass?
  11. Warm Air on Cold Feet?

Now we’re born to be mild?
  12. Driving in the snow -- stay with Grabbers, Michelin Defenders, snow tires?

I run winter tires in Pittsburgh. I’ll be putting them on before the end of the month. The hills, curves and icy roads demand snows with soft rubber. They come off before Tax day. This is the 8th, and last, year on my Dunlop WinterMaxx. Wheels and tires carried over from my 2015 Lariat. I’ve...
  13. What’s your exit plan for the truck?

My girls learned to drive on a Buick Roadmaster station wagon and a beat up Grand Marquis. Lots of metal around them and both pathetically underpowered. Just what the situation called for.
  14. What’s your exit plan for the truck?

74? We’re just easing out of middle age.
  15. What’s your exit plan for the truck?

I use my Lightning, like all of my Ford trucks since early 80’s, for local transportation and occasional hauling and towing. Although I might like a smaller truck, say a Ranger EV, I’ll probably keep this until it becomes unreliable. I don’t miss getting OTA updates because the truck works as...
  16. What’s your exit plan for the truck?

    Beware frame rust.
  17. I swear it was only 71.3789 kWh

You would appreciate the old constipated engineer who worked it out with a slide rule.
  18. I swear it was only 71.3789 kWh

Everyone (including me) rags on the FCSP. But I am now impressed. After working 40 years in chemical process control and instrumentation, I would not believe ANY device could give that degree of accuracy. Yes. You can read any amount of sarcasm into my post that you want.
  19. Taking the Politics Out of EVs

Do you think Trump’s new bff Elon will agree to that?
