I keep the tax credit so I was paid around 5K to drive the truck for a year, and then FORD put me in Expeditions and f150 rentals for four months. It all worked out as well as it could have. I now see the dreaded power train malfunction/reduced power message in the app... So seems like maybe...
I accepted the offer around January 15th. I signed the papers yesterday and was given a check on the spot. The RSV team was really easy to work with and kept in touch the whole way.
NY lemon law does not include interest paid on a loan like I'm some other states, but there was no deduction...
Received a call from FORD RAV representative yesterday and an email requesting the docs that were mentioned earlier in the thread. I submitted those docs about an hour ago. Fingers crossed we can get this all settled this month... now I gotta figure out what I'm gonna drive next...
I wanted the PRO, the dual panel moonroof and huge screen are nice, but I wouldn't have paid for them on a regular pickup. The Lariat was what was available when my reservation number came up for order and I didn't wanna wait another model year.
The PRO was such a no-brainer at 50K with the...
I went to the dealer to have them print out all of the service records and get the loan paperwork and window sticker and everything else out of the truck this week before I called FORD to request the buyback. I will defnitely accept the buyback offer if it is what you say (better than NYS lemon...
I was hoping that at the 30 or 60 day mark there was another level of escalation to the FORD COPIS system but it seems like there is not.
I do work in a large engineering company with manufacturing on site. One of the reasons I was willing to take the leap to an EV pickup is that I work on...
I received a call from FORD to say they were going to buy back the vehicle and would call me next week to provide details and timeline. So hopefully I'll know more after Christmas.
I'll post here to keep everyone current on the status of my lemon law claim. I also informed FORD I was pursuing that option and they can propose a settlement or a buyback option instead of going to the arbitration hearing. I spoke with someone in the NY AG's office today and I will be filing...
I just filled out and sent the lemon law complaint form to the NY AG's office. If I go the lemon route and am successful, NY will refund sales tax.... dunno if FORD will do that w/ a buyback. Also no deduction from a rebate for mileage as I'm under 12,000 miles via the lemon law.
I also sent...
Yeah I wish I were making this up... last message from FORD was 11/14. Unreturned phone calls, texts and emails since, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor Wednesday, I was told I'd be called back in a few hours and that did not happen.
Asking nicely has not gotten me anywhere for several weeks. I only even asked to speak to a supervisor this week... and have not been given the courtesy of a callback.
Yes I have a case number, and yes there is a parts order in COPIS, I've been told it's escalated but there is no update/ETA for parts from their supplier.
I know first year fit and finish issues like the lightbar and even the frunk should be expected with first model year vehicles. Looking at the threads here on the forum it seems like the frunk malfunction has been a fairly regular occurrence.
My truck has been at the dealership for going on...
This was the best option for information I found on the forums... thanks @johnmarksilly!
