Hi y’all, I’ve read through some other threads and I’m starting to narrow this issue to a 12V problem. 2023 Lariat, auto start will not work
my auto start will work if I have been driving for about 30+ minutes. IF I try it right after I exit the truck. Wait 20 minutes, it won’t work.
I did all...
Welp, that sucks. I have noticed that other folks on this forum claim the denial of the Ford Pass means someone was in the truck. Fingers crossed that means something is happening with our vehicles in Winston. //me holding out hope
We're brothers from another mother. That was verbatim what I said to them on the phone.
They hold the company line very well.
My delar is saying he gets the same answer when he asks.
@Ford Motor Company could easily do better. They jump into these forums to say "congrats, glad you're...
Well, that's the most I have heard from a dealer. Seems like those of us in this situation are liekly all in the same boat. Albeit and emblem or a chip, seems like they would let it go to the dealer for the final repair. Funny they want to know how you know they're getting other trucks, haha...
Ooh, that is a juicy piece of information. I had not thought of that. So maybe these trucks left MI without some chips. Now they're going to send techs to a rail yard to fix a bunch of them all at once. It really makes no sense not to send them to the dealer for this work.
@TheWheel @suldog99 have you gotten any information from your dealer? Mine says @Ford Motor Company won't tell them anything. Ford cust service elevated a case # for me, but they nice man who called gave me the same, "I don't have any more information". I guess we just keep waiting and...
Lots of people seem to be in this boat on 08/08 week and 08/15 week. @georgepearkes and my trucks seem to be on the same rail car.
@Ford Motor Company customer service is no help.
Dealers say that they have no information.
Interest rates going up, trade-in values going down. And our trucks...
@Ford Motor Company why are so many of us getting our dates pushed over and over again? Original ship early September, now looking at early November. Cust services can only say it's sitting at the rail yard. What's up?
A lot of people in the other "build week groups" are dealing with this. Ford corp via cust service phone line won't say why. Also, dealerships have been telling customers that Ford won't tell them why. I hope that someone gets the real story, would be interested to know why mine was 1 hour...
WTF - that's not good. I assumed this was a convoy issue. How does a truck even leave on a train without the chips? I just got another notice that mine was pushed to 11/08. I also got an email from Ford outlining all the missed deadlines. What a cluster.
Also, we have no leverage at all...
No, I'm in the triangle. My dealer has been very good, with constant communication. But he says there is nothing he can do other than keep checking in with his Ford rep. Apparently, Ford doesn't give him specifics as to why it's still in Winston.
I was likely to believe this until my dealer said they were getting other vehicles from Ford in standard lead time, not delay after delay. But maybe it's just the luck of which train car the convoy hauling truck happens to be servicing.
Does anyone know why Ford would ship via train to a location an hour from me, then let the truck sit there at the ramp for weeks? It makes no sense. My dealer seems frustrated too.
Wow, didn't know the "weighted plates" was required and extra. I can understand the extra $140, if that goes into roads and infrastructure, it does make sense, since they get no gas tax from an EV. Less than one month of gas for my current ICE.
I'll keep an eye out for the Fed tax incentive...
