I think grid independence with solar and battery back up, coupled with an EV provides more transportation security than gas alone because if the gas stations don’t have power or can’t get their shipments of fuel, i can still charge my truck at home and even off solar if the grid is down.

the tracking of efficiency is still accurate, the hours and mileage for the trip 2 have limited digits to less than 10,000 on the miles so that portion and the hour tracking just roll back over to 0 and start counting again but the efficiency I don’t believe resets.

The truck manual says the high voltage battery will charge the 12 volt battery when the truck is off. I’m actually not sure it even charges the 12 volt when running because once the truck is on, the dc to dc converter uses the HVB power to power the 12 volt accessories.
