Just installed the Ford pro charger at work on a 200 amp service per directions. 100 amp breaker with 2 hots on 3awg wire and one 6awg ground. I have everything hooked up charging fine, wifi all working and added charger to app however my app is only showing 14kw charging. My battery is at 50% right now and the station shows 80amp setting in the amp. Anyone know why I would not be getting the full capability of the charger? I have the dial set to 7 for the 100 amp breaker as well so that's all good.

The Ford app shows a truncated number, i.e. no decimal place. 14, 14.1, 14.99 all show as 14.

Second, there is loss from the wall to the truck. Assume 10%.

In an ideal world, you'd deliver 240 x 80 x 90% = 17.3kW. Ford app would show 17.

In your case, you're showing 14. I suspect you've got 208v, not 240. If you do that math, you're at 14.976 in the best case, i.e. 14 in the FordPass app.

The FP app shows net to the battery, so you’ll never see 19 KW. Mine shows 17 KW.

You mention “at work.” What is the voltage? Many commercial services are taken off of a 208/120 wye 3 phase transformer, even if the installed service is single phase. If so, the max input would be 16.6 KW, netting about the 14 you’re seeing.

This is exactly right, my charge station pro is set to 80 amps and based on the ford pass app, it delivers 17.3 kw per hour of charging and displays a 17 kw charge rate. I have a sense monitor on my service panel and I can verify that when the truck is charging it is drawing 19,000 watts so about 1500-2,000 watts of losses each hour

It's not just the FordPass app. I've yet to see anybody with the FCSP charge anywhere close to the full 19.2kW. Best I've ever seen is around 17.6kW.

When you’re showing 17.6 input, what does FP show as the charge rate? Just curious.

I honestly don't know. FordPass didn't have the charging number in it when I screenshot that. Next time I charge I'll look at it.

I think you mean 208V, not 208A. And yes, I have the same situation with the charger installed at my workplace, as only 208v available, not 240v.

Here is the numbers I got. Best I saw this session was 17.2kW. FordPass reports it at 15kW.

Losses about what I expected. Of course, FP showing 15 could be 15.9! Thanks for the info.

And I think I found why I'm not even getting 17.6kW anymore. When I installed my FCSP, I was reading around 238.5V on my service. I'm now reading 233.5V. And it drops to 223V when the FCSP is actively charging set to 80A. I think the transformer at the road is getting worn out.
