  1. Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced Power

Conspiracy theory :) : Ford is downloading these error codes because it is now a more convenient time to get these trucks back to make the known repair. They knew they had an issue with these March-April trucks way back when they halted production. The decision was made to release the trucks...
  2. Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced Power

Update: So my truck was at the dealer for just over three weeks, I got it back a few weeks ago. Truck seems as it was before the battery module replacement. My service writer said they only have 1 EV technician and that three weeks was good turn around compared to other dealers. From the looks...
  3. Looking for perspective from drivers of SR Lightings used as work trucks

Warm weather, no towing and average 100-150 miles a day....The lightning was made for you! I guarantee your techs will not want to drive anything else. The truck is smooth, quiet and super quick. BTW A/C works great!
  4. Looking for perspective from drivers of SR Lightings used as work trucks

Originally, I was focused on range and kW/h. Now that I'm comfortable with the truck and it's range, based on what I'm doing with it, I mostly ignore it. There are too many factors involved to know how far a charge will last (temperature, wind, hills, payload, a/c and heat, speed, driver etc). I...
  5. New charging port weather kit ?

I guess it went up $5 already. At least it's following the 2022 Lightning pricing trend. 🤣 $12 dollars for installation? lol
  6. Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced Power

Another week and not a peep from the dealer or BEV team. My home charger is collecting lots of dust and spider webs.
  7. Official Charging Recommendations

That would surprise me to have a warranty denied over a recommendation.
  8. Official Charging Recommendations

I was being careful with my battery, charging to 90% and less frequent charging if I thought I'd be ok for a few days. Now that my truck is sitting at the dealer waiting on a new battery module after only 5K miles, all bets are off. I'm charging to 100% and topping off everyday whether it needs...
  9. Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced Power

I have a feeling I'll be in the same boat. It's over a week and no word from the dealer. My app still shows the HV battery warning and the same charge when I dropped it off. After this experience. I think when I get it back, there is no more trying to protect the battery, meaning charging to...
  10. Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced Power

No update, I have not heard back from the dealer.
  11. Charging question.

Yes, mine has always been between 10 and 11 (never reached 11)
  12. Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced Power

I made it just over 5,000 miles, trouble free until a couple days ago. My 2023 Ford Lightning Pro broke down. Now in the shop (Healey Ford in NY). High Voltage Battery Warning. The dealer called the next day and said a battery module needs to be replaced and it's a week out. I was hoping it...
  13. 2023 Pro Standard Range - CSP 10kWh max

I'm seeing 13.4% less than 48 amps (according to Ford Pass app - 10 kWh). Nothing else drawing on my circuit except a garage refrigerator. I'm going to throw a clamp ammeter in the panel box and compare. I'll also verify the voltage. Below is a summary of the last charge
  14. 2023 Pro Standard Range - CSP 10kWh max

Recently received my Pro, I installed a CSP and left the amp setting on 80 amp. I know the SR battery cannot utilize the 80 amp capability but saw no harm in leaving it set to 80. My charge rate always shows as 10kwh which calculates to 41.6 amps. I would have expected a little bit more but I...
  15. Charge port door opened by itself??

    Yeah, that makes more sense
  16. Charge port door opened by itself??

Clips are not broken but if you bump it while wrapping the cord up, it'll pop off. It was embarrassing when showing some Chevy friends of mine, they had a laugh. I'll need to come up with something to keep it from popping off. I think I saw a video where a guy used double sided tape.
  17. Charge port door opened by itself??

Maybe it was the same enginner that designed the Charge Station Pro cover... lol
  18. 🙋‍♂️ What Did You Do To Your Lightning Today?
