Not really the drivability issue for me. It was much more of an issue at 57%, but that was a module failure. Moreso I am in the middle of a potential buyback. I love the truck when it is working as intended, but that has been the issue for me. Never had this issue prior to battery module...
Appreciate the confirmation! I plugged it in to see if anything above 50% charge changes things, though at that point, the batteries will probably warm to optimal, even though the read says they should already be there...
Got in the truck this morning, cool high 50s, but not cold. Battery temp was nominal. Charge was about 47%, and I noticed the throttle was limited to 95%. I have seen it limit it previously, but at much lower states of charge, given everything else was in the optimum range temperature wise...
Finally got mine back last week after 6 weeks at the dealer waiting on a battery module to be replaced. This was the 5th time bringing it in for a powertrain malfunction / reduced power error. I suspect I also had the cooling valve issue, has had it in for repair previously with batteries...
FWIW, I have had mine in the shop for weeks over the previous year. Powertrain malfunction, recalls, etc. Powertrain malfunction never changed drivability, but the orange wrench was an annoying reminder. On one trip coming back from a family emergency, I experienced sever battery colling...
Update, Ford called the dealer, and they said they hadn't done an escalation and that Ford had changed how the sealant needed to be ordered. So now, they expect it tomorrow or Monday, with another week to replace the modules. So a month and a half in the shop for this repair.
Requested a...
I had the powertrain error for the millionth time, but this time, it limited throttle to 56%. Took it to the dealer, and it has now been there for about a month solid. It needs a battery module replaced, and they have all the parts except a very specific sealant needed to complete the repair...
I had a similar but much worse experience driving from Lubbock to Houston recently. Plugged in at a DC fast charger, battery temps went through the roof, and max charge rate was around 15kw. Happened again at the next stop, and it took me 4 hours to charge from 25% to 80%. Got home around 4am...
