The sensor measures torsional resistance in the steering column. "Holding the wheel" is an irrelevant metric unless you provide some small resistance to the steering wheel. It sucks on long stretches of straight road.
It was a toss up between "Lorry (Lori)", "Haulie (Holly)" and "Carry (Carrie)". Settled on Carrie. The kid, however, refuses to respect my right to name the truck I bought, and so he has decided to call it "Bartholomew".
Well, my trip to the dealer was a bit of a disaster. The LV battery fell below the 77% threshold while they were 2 hours into running the update for the Image Processing Module. They then said that they would replace the LV battery and try again, but 30 min later came out and said that they...
I have been told by the dealer that the TSB SSM 52088 has been updated with a software fix. Oasis says that it may have been deployed OTA, so if your synch updates are up to date, you may be done with this issue. I'll know more tomorrow, as I am still plagued with frequent annoying beeps about...
There is an overhead loss of during charging, and that overhead loss is not dependent on charge rate. So, the longer you charge, the more loss there is: faster charge, less loss. Someone here has shown calculations. It's not insignificant.
If you have a 2023 or 2022 ER Lightning and are putting in a 100 A circuit, what I would do is run the line to a sub-panel in the garage and run copper from the sub-panel to the FCSP. Set that to charge with the full 80 amp capacity. Fully charging your vehicle on a level 2 charger at 80 amps is...
I have had two updates in the last week. So it seems that batches of VINs from the model year '23 trucks are getting some love finally! Has anyone else from this thread that responded with "no OTA" seen movement in the last week?
At this point I am skeptical that my truck will ever get an OTA update, let alone one that makes BC worth using. Also, BC depends on a lot of things that Ford has no control over: glare, snow or ice cover of lane markings, mud splatters, faulty sensors (I tried to use the parking assist feature...
There is something wonky with the EV charger 30% rebate on Turbotax at the moment. And, as noted above, Turbotax won't allow submissions if you claim an EV credit until forms are updated later this month. I'm hoping those updates resolve the EVSE rebate as well.
The folks at Transport Evolved have done a good job documenting their issues with the HIS. The upshot is that while there were snags they think they have figured out everything, and their system now seems to be working well.
It doesn't sound like anyone with a build date after about April 2023 has received an OTA update. I know, for the most part, these updates are no big thing, but there are some that are desirable (Explicit SoC on the charge meter), and some will be close to essential (BlueCruise updates, for...
