lectron has a Tesla to J1772 level 2 adapter compatible with Tesla high power connectors and destination chargers. $112.00. I have both one of these and NACS plus some adapters for camp grounds. Montana in the winter is difficult. Minus 35 degrees tends to limit your range.
I am also in the PNW yehaaa. In the winter for trips I always precondition with a departure time plugged in to 100%. This makes the start of the trip less stressful. Use ABRP route planner with settings for charging stops few but long. This works for me. I pay for real time weather in ABRP this...
Other posts are correct all you need is a J1772.
As far as chargers go I installed a Grizzl-E Ultimate 48A EVSE outside in Montana. I like the case all aluminum, made in Canada. It has been working great even at minus 39 degrees. About $379.0 right now.
Yes this is true but people may give up CCS and go with NACS. I am sure software could handle whatever port was selected. I don't think it would be cheap to do however.
I saw a review on a Lightning delivered to Norway. Part of the conversion for Europe was adding a port in the false door to charge. They did not list the added cost. Might have to search for that review.
I did three guided virtual tours and they were Great when I just got the truck. They are on the Ford website not the app. After you create a log in search on guided virtual tours and it should pop up. They were 30 minutes each while I was in the truck, I gave permission and they could see the...
Exactly, McDonald's builds a new restaurant 1 million dollar investment in land and construction first Big Mac costs $999,995 dollars. I am tired of buggy whip companies telling me I made a bad choice. It cost me $4.00 a week to charge my truck VS $100.00 in gas. I love the northwest!.
If your electrical panel can handle 100 Amps (required to get 80 AMPS out of the CSP.) it might be worth changing. Otherwise stay with the Tesla. They make a good charger and you are used to it.
Well I tried it, Speed limit assist does not change cruise control, onlly the warning. When it sees a sign I just adjusted on the steering wheel and it ignored the signs from the on. Not the best solution.
You can go under Driver Assistance, Speed limit Assist, Tolerance, and slide to 10 over. That might stop it.
(My issue was I usually set cruise control at 68 and it sees the 80 sign and wants to go up. I usually hit the cruise minus on the steering wheel and it stops it from going up to 80 and...
Wow ND to Spokane. Bozeman, Butte, Missoula have reliable Electrify America. Smelterville ID also has an EA. The Smelterville will get you into Spokane. The Bozeman EA is new, 4 stations, was open but all four are closed now for some reason.
No I don't exactly on the temp guage, I was watching the guage for changes to see if it preconditioned but it does not move much ever. I was at 38%. Went from 85% to 35% over 140 miles with two mountain passes at 66mph.
Some other notes on supreme cold. While precondition warms the battery and cabin, as opposed to ICE, nothing else is warmed up. The water from the windshield flowed into the wiper well and down by the charge port and froze everything in solid blocks of ice. A heat gun would have been nice. Made...
