I see folks here use a Better Route Planner but it doesn't show Fords CCS1 (J1772 + DC) charge port. How do you use it?

Are you saying that CCS chargers aren't showing up on ABRP? Do you have them selected under Chargers and Networks?

On the app, it shows CCS and Level 2. If you want it to find Level 2, you pick that also.

So even if the picture of the plug doesn't look exactly like the Fords, this is what you pick? Picking up a Lightning Lariat in ND and driving it to Spokane so trying to plan my trip. Sold a Tesla and going with the Ford. Also have a 2018 F150 4 door 3.0 diesel I am keeping for towing rv.

The CCS plug in the picture looks exactly what the Lightning has when you open the DC pin cover.

Is this the J-1772 plug also? This is why I ask and why I am confused, from Fords site. ( Ford charging solutions use the J1772 plug, which is the North American industry standard. It works for all-electric vehicles in North America, except Tesla. )

And also found this ( Most public charging stations use the older J1772 connector, while newer EVs are equipped with the newer CCS (Combined Charging System) connector. This means most CCS vehicles can't plug directly into J1772 charging stations without an adapter. )

The bolded is incorrect. The top part of the CCS connector on the vehicle accepts the J1772 plug. The lower two holes, which only need uncovered when at a CCS connector are the DC pins. The same receptacle for both plugs.

Try using FordPass. Here's a result filtering on "Up to 22 kW" and "In Ford Charging Network." Seems to be a charging station using a J1772 connector, not a CCS connector, that I can charge my F-150 at...

It would take overnight to charge at that charging rate, stick with ccs fast charging, you can get the Plug Share app to help locate faster charging , and adjust your charging rate to at least 50 kw to eliminate the overnight chargers.

Wow ND to Spokane. Bozeman, Butte, Missoula have reliable Electrify America. Smelterville ID also has an EA. The Smelterville will get you into Spokane. The Bozeman EA is new, 4 stations, was open but all four are closed now for some reason.

I put off driving it home this week to next week because it has been in 20 to 30 below, but next week in the low 30s for a few days.

Fargo ND to Spokane. Found a nearly new Lariat with 1,200 miles on it for $30,000.00 less than new. 70 year old gentleman bought it but couldn't figure out the screen so he traded it back in for a gasser 5 months later. He had Ford install rails and a $800.00 paint protector on the front. Also comes with the pro wall charger he never installed. Will see how the range is compared to the 2016 Tesla Model X I sold.
