You and me both!
My PAAK is currently not set as it keeps failing to download a new key. I will drive around to various parking lots and attempt it again. At some point it will work.
You can have multiple PAAK registered with the car. You have to reset/delete the existing keys before...
PAAK is my absolute biggest gripe, annoyance, disappointment of this vehicle. I have had to reset, set PAAK, more than 30 times over 3 years. Always hoping that Ford has figured out how to make this reliable.
I have called the ford people soooo many times I have this cheat sheet. Note, this...
The brake feel on my truck, which has 30k miles, is the same as it ever was. It has always been a bit clunky to me. I don't like it as the ABS is too sensitive It not the same as the tesla. I do like the tesla version better. Both are different from the Audi S5 I still have. I regard the...
The original question was about dimming of the headlight on the side where the turn signal is active. I have seen other cars do this, but I couldn't say which make they are.
This seems to be a question for the forescan/OBD experts, of which I am not one.
I have noticed that if i have a scheduled charge time entered, and try to do a one time charge with the app, it will always go to 100%. Any attempt to change the charge limit will stop the charge.
I have solar panels and would prefer to charge only during the day. Scheduling the charge...
thinking out loud.
it seems that the FCSP and HIS must be communicating over the rs485. I believe this thread started with debugging/reverse engineering this port to figure a way to tell the truck to turn on the DC backfeed through the charger.
Doing this does one truly functional thing...
Have you had any more success with these codes?
Specifically, how to close the DC relay on the charger? I don't have the the FCSP installed as the tesla charger was first and installed. Is that controlled by the app?
What tool did you use to communicate with it? USB dongle to rs232/485?
Has anyone successfully charged a tesla with the FCSP?
The assumption is that you have the adapter for CCS to NACS. Which I do have.
I would love to be able to use the 80A option, with the FCSP, to charge the truck. I don't want to disconnect the existing tesla charger without knowing...
I have noticed that if the charge handle is in the sun, while charging, the chargers (both tesla and level 2 from Ford) will cut the charge rate in half. I confirmed, with tesla people, this behavior. I live in TX and is it often very hot which compounds this behavior. The handles...
Tesla NACS, to Ford supplied NACS to CCS, to tesla originated CCS to NACS, to MY. It did charge the vehicle!
I am hesitant to install the FCSP not knowing whether the FCSP and the MY would be happy together through this CCS-NACS adapter. If anyone has actually done this I would love to hear it.
There is an option in the truck to use the last setting or auto. Before the update it ignored it, always set to cooling level 2. The service guy and i went through all the options in the truck for these settings. It basically ignored all the settings in the truck.
Since it finally got cold I found that when I turned on climate remotely it would turn the seats to cooling level 2. It would do this regardless of the remote start setup for the seats was on auto or off.
I updated the ford pass app to the latest before I called them.
I called Ford pass...
The truck is almost 2 years old.
Full range has always been 330 miles. Charging to 80% had been 263 +-
Now, I am guessing, some software update had changed the definition of max range. Charging to 80% is now about 235 or 295 for max range. .
Or, there are 10 battery modules which...
I don't need to modify anything. I have a tesla provided CCS to NACS adapter. It doesn't work on a pay for chargers like evgo. I imagine that is because evgo doesn't know how to talk tesla.
I would think that because the FCSP isn't a pay for communication, the connector/ adapter would work.
Do you know this for a fact? That it will charge a tesla. Have you experienced this yourself? Ford software, and claims that something will work, are highly doubtful.
I have the FCSP sitting un-installed because the tesla charger will charge the truck. I can't risk installing a charger...
Hold the two most outward buttons on you steering wheel for 10ish seconds. The panel will reset. This can be done at any time whether the truck is moving or not. The left one is the volume down button and the right side is the skip foreword button. I have attached an image.
