Here is one for you gurus. My Lightning routine is as consistent as it can get. Commute is the same each day. From home to office. Same route everyday.
I charge at the office with a class 2 charger. The wind and temperature is about the same each day. Yet when I plug in at the office, some days it charges at 14.6 KW and some days at 3 KW. Sometimes, if I unplug the charger wait a minute or two it will go to 14.6 KW sometimes no. Sometimes if I trip the breaker on the charger it will revert to the 14.6 KW. Some days no. I understand about variables like temperature make a diff but two days with the same temps and diff charge rates. What gives??

Your office charger likely has issues. You can verify this by trying another charger.

Does your office have multiple chargers?

If so, it may be that two or more share the same circuit and share the available power. If that is occurring, you only get the maximum power when you're the only one charging. Two vehicle would each get half, three would each get a third, etc.

If not, there's something weird going on.

I have noticed that if the charge handle is in the sun, while charging, the chargers (both tesla and level 2 from Ford) will cut the charge rate in half. I confirmed, with tesla people, this behavior. I live in TX and is it often very hot which compounds this behavior. The handles, apparently, have a temp sensor in them.
