I ended up replacing mine with "Light Bar Fastener - Ford (W721531-S300)" which fit perfectly. I'm not sure, but Ford kept suggesting "Tail Lamp Assembly Retainer - Ford (W721530-S300)" which ended up being way too small, maybe that is right for some of the trucks, but just be aware of the...
I ended it getting this resolved. I posted a video going through the install incase anyone needs it in the future as well as some of the issues i had with my particular truck with the clips.
Running into an issue. I was missing a retaining clip, so I picked up this one ( W721530-S300 / https://ford.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts/ford-tail-lamp-assembly-retainer-w721530s300 ) from my local Ford dealer parts department, but the hole is way too big. Anyone have an idea on finding the...
I was just reading about this, apparently this is a thing people are doing. Found a couple threads discussing it.

So looking at this passenger lariat replacement lens, which looks correct visually, but part number is NL34-13B504-BG, emphasis on the BG
Anyone have any idea on this, not seeing anyone else talking about the part number...
Hey, I'm in a similar situation. I went to a body shop today, and the lady at the counter mentioned that they are the only place on the island (Gloucester) with the calibration equipment for the radar sensors. This was an informal conversation, as they haven't looked at it yet, but what...
Oh yeah i completely forgot to mention, when I roll mine up after it rains, all the water goes into the canister, it has rain hoses off the bottom, but i don't think they were installed correctly, or poorly designed possibly, but I do get some water in the bed leaking from those hoses when I...
Yup! They are the toolbox mounts. I can't say i can take credit for it though, as i got the idea from this guy. Had a few other thing you'll need, lubricating oil, square nuts, low profile replacement thumbscrews. Overall im happy with it. It was a really pain before I added the oil though, so...
I have the Retrax Pro MX (this is the aluminum not the poly one), I wanted to get the motorized one but all the installers I called warned me against it, plus i couldn't get my wife onboard. I went with Retrax cause I also installed a Thule TraxRac ladder rack which seems to be the best tonneau...
This is probably common knowledge but i just learned there is actually a button for the bed lights near the outlets in the bed, i had been running back and forth to the cab everytime till I saw it somewhere recently. Anyway I would check the switch for wiring, if not the existing lights to tie...
Thanks Rick, these are good points i hadn't considered. Curious how this compares to ICE f150s and F250/350s? Im not familiar with the 400lb rating, do you have more info on what the actual measurement is called?
True, but my fixation is currently on the lighting, unfortunately for better or worse. Then again I've got an 85 350 diesel crew cab with a flatbed in my backyard (and a plow! And another engine for rebuild) that hasn't gotten any love in almost 10 years, and i have a feeling that project isn't...
Get a set of airbags like these guys? Maybe the route i go, i wanted airbags anyway, but now if they also make sense for plowing that's icing on the cake...
I didn't end up getting great before pics cause i didn't really know what i was looking for before hand, i could probably do better if i tried it again, but here they are, you can definitely see the batteries are being warmed for planned departures.
Before
After
I was considering something similar the other day, except if like to wire mine into the door opening light circuit to get better visibility when getting in and out at night. The dog needs to use one of those portable steps to get in and out so the extra lighting may help
Hmm interesting, this has me thinking. I have a thermal camera, I'd like to test the batteries during the preconditioning. I know if you set your departure times then you can precondition the cabin climate, but people also say that it warms (or cools?) the batteries to the idea temp, however I...
Oh sorry to hear that. Thanks for getting back to me though. Bummer that it didn't improve the mileage, I know more than a few of us were interested in it for that. Thanks again
