  1. Odd PSI Settings

Camper length is 30' from back to back to trailer coupler, dry is just over 6000 lbs (we never get it more than 6500 lbs when we load it). I'm not sure how to interpret the tire rating either...I've got Michilen Primacy XC tires with the values 275/65R18 but there's no leading P or LT in front...
  2. Odd PSI Settings

Got my new 21 F150 in May. Since then, done a few camping trips pulling a trailer. Thought recently to check my tire pressure, but the numbers seem odd. Max PSI from tire wall: 51 Current PSI from cold: 39 or 40 Recommended PSI from door jam sticker: 35 So the tires were over-inflated at the...
  3. Agate Black (UM) Scratch Pen Alternative?

I got a scratch on my 21 F150 truck and I need to just get a touch-up pen to cover it. It's Agate Black, colour code UM on the door sticker. I can't find a paint pen *anywhere* with this colour code, and Dupli-Color doesn't even list models above 2018 in their pick list. Does anyone know if...
  4. Mirrors for those of us without factory Tow Mirrors

I tried to put on a K-Source model ( K Source :UNIVERSAL ) after verifying with an online website that it will fit on a 2021 F-150. Will it attach? Yes. Will it stay on? Definitely not! The way the stock mirrors are shaped the pads under the ratchets can't get a clean enough grip and they slide...
  5. e2 Hitch - Trunnion or Roundbar?

Quick update, went with trunnion. Dealer was like "more stability" and I was like "good enough, let's do it." So still no definitive answer, but the towing experience was really smooth so happy with it. :)
  6. Trailer Battery Not Charging

Sorry, just wanted to clarify - was the issue with the trailer and not the 7-pin connector from the truck, or Ford changed the wiring in the connector and modifications to the trailer junction box need to be made to enable battery charging for the 12v source?
  7. Have 27 ft., 6,600 lb. (dry weight) Camper, need truck--which one?

Check out the Tire and Loading sticker (also in the door jam). This will have the max payload amount for your vehicle. Here's a sample.
  8. Have 27 ft., 6,600 lb. (dry weight) Camper, need truck--which one?

I'm excited about the Lightning, but agree with @HawkeyeOD - need to see real world performance numbers first on towing. Like anything new, might be a "wait for the 2nd or 3rd model year" to let them figure out the issues that arise in v1.
  9. Have 27 ft., 6,600 lb. (dry weight) Camper, need truck--which one?

I was considering a V8 at first too, then after research the 3.5L V6 is actually better on towing and on payload its on par with the V8 (see page 29 for all the charts at The All-new 2021 F-150® (ford.com) , thanks again @Vulnox for sharing this!). Apparently the V6 is better in higher...
  10. e2 Hitch - Trunnion or Roundbar?

The INTERWEBS?! ;) I read the marketing stuff, but the only difference I've read is in line with what @SanJuanTech mentioned - trunnion has heavier weight models available compared to round bars. Figured people using either one might have some real-world nuances :) That's a great idea about the...
  11. e2 Hitch - Trunnion or Roundbar?

Hey all, my RV dealer has two options of e2 hitch - the straight-armed Trunnion and the angled Roundbar. Anyone have experience or preference when it comes to which version is better (either for an e2 or alternative weight distributing/sway control hitch)? e2™ Hitch | Fastway Trailer Thanks!
  12. Trailer with 3.31 vs 3.55 Axle Ratio

Thanks for all the comments everyone. Since my original post I'm looking at lot stock even more (KC shut down through May, June 7th is the earliest the truck could be built). There's one on the dealer lot that's also 3.73 axle ratio but uses the V8 engine instead of the V6. Better axle ratio...
  13. Trailer with 3.31 vs 3.55 Axle Ratio

Hey all, I'm going to be towing a 6000+ lb trailer this Summer and I have a truck order to be built with 3.55 axle ratio. It's in KC though, so 4 week shutdown + no confirmed build date has me looking at on-lot options at my dealer just in case. They have one with the same 3.5L V6 engine and...
