Good day!
I’ve had a lightning order in since Feb 2022, original pre-order deposit was May 2021.
The dealer has said I will not be getting a 2022 truck and it will be a 2023 model. I had ordered an extended range XLT model. They are telling me I need to act now and will be at the front of the line for when the 2023s go into production.
I live in canada, the cost of this truck has gone up almost $14k from $83.6k to $97.2k, before tax. In canada we pay 15% tax, so $14k is really a $16k increase.
The dealer had originally said they will try and should be able to keep the pricing from 2022 even if my order was moved to 2023 (they mentioned the risk). They have gone back on this, I don’t have it in writing.
Is there anything I can do here? If I can’t get that price I likely won’t want the 2023 truck.
Thanks for your help!!
