Update on my Lightning at I took to Superior Ford. My truck is ready to pickup. The comments were there was a communications error between the front and rear motors. Then there were several updates for it. Test drove and all is good. Wife if pick up after work. Only there two days.
  2. Recommended Dealer for Service in Twin Cities

I got the High Voltage Battery warning to pull over immediately on my way home tonight. North Country is my normal dealer, but I was on 169 and pulled in to Superior Ford. I was concerned if I would make it home. The power gauge was showing zero, and my GOM dropped to 50 miles. They were pretty...
  3. Help: Can't Decide - Tire Replacements

Just put the Toyo Open Country A/T III EV on mine based on the reviews here. Just of $2k at Discount Tire installed and warranty. They are a bit louder than the factory Hankooks I took off that were having the bad edge wear like many others have. Living in Minnesota I wanted something with good...
  4. Replaced: Rear Driver DRIVE AXLE... under warranty @ 49,000 miles

On my 2022 with 20,000 miles was just replace last week. It was noticed when I was having the tires rotated. Ford covered it at 100%.
  5. CSP 24B56 - Inoperative Front Parking Sensor(s) - IPMA Software Update for Certain 2022-24 F-150 Lightning Trucks

I get to join the group with camera envy. I just texted my service manager that the techs missed the step and asked when I should bring it back in. The two recalls only took them a week to get them installed. They didn’t want to install properly to start with.
  6. DO NOT BRING LIGHNING IN FOR RECALLS! Truck is dead at dealer. ***Update 10/16, fixed after 5 weeks***

Day 2 still having issues getting one of the updates to work. Maybe tomorrow.
  7. DO NOT BRING LIGHNING IN FOR RECALLS! Truck is dead at dealer. ***Update 10/16, fixed after 5 weeks***

I took my 22 Lariat in for a ripped CV boot on the left rear. They were going to do the two CSPs one went with no issue, the other they are having issues getting it to install. They didn’t have the part to replace the CV boot, so now my truck is sitting at the dealer to see if they can get the...
  8. Toyo Open Country A/T III EV Tires Launched: Charge Up Your Adventure

I don’t see the EV tire on the simpletire website only the E version with is not the same as the EV version.
  9. Glare Free light operation

Did Ford send a OTA in the USA to add this option or do we need use Forscan to activate?
  10. Toyo Open Country A/T III EV Tires Launched: Charge Up Your Adventure

The only place I see that I can order is Tire Rack. I call the @Discount Tire toll free number and they can’t locate the tire. They passed my information along to the local store who is going to call me back once they know more. Update: The local store called me back, and he is a EV owner. They...
  11. Preconditioning battery for L3 charging

Hopefully, they will add the functionality and notification on screen similar to how Tesla does. My Tesla will start conditioning the battery about 30 miles from the charging station so it is at optimal temp when I start to charge. There are messages on the screen telling me that is is...

  14. A Ford EV expert is now only a text away

I find the new text support team pretty useless @Ford Motor Company. All they tell me to do is to contact my dealer or someone else.
  15. Setting Charge End Time

What I’m asking is the option like other leading EV manufacturers have. Let me tell my truck when I would prefer charging to complete, ie same as departure time. Then it will use less house power warming the battery to charge and a second time for departure preconditioning. I’ve owned three EVs...
  16. Setting Charge End Time

Yes this happens not the most efficient. If the battery charges early in the evening then it get cold over night and takes additional power to condition the cold battery in the morning. If we could delay the charging to end at the depart time it would save electric.
  17. Setting Charge End Time

I have the departure time as 6:30 am, my truck start charging at 9 pm and typically finished between 1 and 2 am. Setting the departure time does NOT affect when the truck starts to charge or preconditioning the battery, it only warms the cab.
  18. Setting Charge End Time

I wish @Ford Motor Company would update the charging programming to allow us to set a charge complete time. Then the truck would determine when it needs to start charging based on the charge end time. For us the live in a cold climate it would be more efficient to have a warm battery when we...
  19. A Ford EV expert is now only a text away

Just monkeys pushing buttons via the chat. To get anything that is not in the manual still need to call in. I was asking about why Ford doesn’t have charging set-up like Tesla and GM do to allow us to assign the charging end time and calculate back when it needs to start so the battery is warm...
