You don't have another ford car connected to the same pass saying that do you? lol. Spooky.
I do have my current 2014 F150 under my account, which shows up in the FordPass app, but it's not connected in any way otherwise. It just seems like it's half way connected, but no one as accepted the activation request from within the truck yet, so I can get the push notifications, but can't see/don't have access to any of the other features.

Looking for some wisdom from this group...or some educated guesses....or maybe just some comforting words, since my truck seems to be stuck in a holding pattern at the factory.

I received the "built" email weeks ago. Then the tracker backtracked and says "built" on 5/23, but "in-production". I was hopeful that she was on a railcar on the way home...but after weeks of "pending activation" on the FordPass app, someone must have finally accepted the request and I can see she's alive and moving about. This is both great news and bad news, as I see she's still at the factory. She is moving around daily however.
I've seen one or 2 posts here about chip holds. I suspect that's the case, unless someone knows the layout of the factory and has any insight. Delivery originally said 24-30 of June....so that's still possible, but that date has disappeared from the tracker and reservation/order page.

Congrats to everyone getting their trucks...I'm (im)patiently waiting for mine to arrive.

I feel your pain. I honestly don't know what's worse, waiting on my truck to ship out or now waiting on it to get delivered to the dealer from the rail yard. Tomorrow is the 7th day it will be at the railyard. I think I'm a lot more frustrated at this point, because I literally could've taken the truck at anytime within the last 5 days of not waiting on railyard.

I'm anticipating that eventuality as well... SMH.

Now I have some total BS information about my truck and why it is still sitting at the railyard. I called the railyard myself and the guy told me that it has been put on hold by Gena Task Force. That spelling may not be right, but that is what he said. He said it was likely Ford who did this, but why deliver it all the way to the railyard just to hold it for what the hell ever reason.

I called my dealer rep and he has no idea what that all means. He is calling his rep to see if they can make sense of all of this. He did say that is still shows on the visibility report that ETA pending final launch approval estimated spring 2022.

Anyone else in this group have anything similar to add to this? I am so pissed right now about this whole thing. With all of the other Lightnings being delivered, why is my truck on hold when trucks just like mine have already gone out to customers.

EXACTLY! WTF over? And held at the railyard?

I have no idea what sort of processes they go through but from outside looking in it's a total goat rope.

I hope this gets resolved soon for you.

Why even ship it at all. At least if you would have left it in Dearborn, I could just be upset that the shipping is taking so long. Instead you deliver it 10 miles from my Dealer and leave it out there sitting. It is like dangling it on a string that I can't reach right in front of me.

My dealer called his rep and has him diving into it. They believe it is because Ford hasn't removed the ETA pending final launch and so it is a quality control issue. He told there was a situation where this happened for another customer who actually took control of his truck before it was cleared. Ford almost made the guy bring the truck back because he wasn't supposed to get when he did. Even so, it doesn't make me any happier know this BS.

Now my truck is in the hands of the dealer's rep in hopes that he can get it fixed quickly.

So this quality final signoff doesn't happen in the vicinity of the plant, but at some intermediate destination downrange, but before arriving at the dealership?

Huh?

Something super strange going on indeed. Really hope it's just a matter of getting all the paperwork/digital checkboxes aligned and they can get it sorted with some elbow grease and get it on the way to you ASAP.

I have no idea and we don't know what other people's visibility reports look like that have already picked up their trucks.

Maybe someone here can look at their report and see if the ETA Pending Final Launch spring 2022 comment is still on their visibility report.

Ford Chat and Ford Marketing were of no help. Ford Marketing told me that they have seen this issue before, but they have been given no information as to why it's happening to some and not to others.

Now I just sit and wait in hopes that my district manager can get something accomplished on this.

My best guess at this point is that it is a software issue and they are working on a fix but that fix needs to go thru QA before it can be deployed (OTA update, so doesn't matter if vehicle is in Dearborn or at a local rail yard). It's the only reason I could see for holding these vehicles in place for days/weeks on end. Pure speculation however.

I am sorry you guys are going through this headache. It will be worth it when you finally get your truck. I just picked up my truck this morning from Leif Johnson Truck City Ford. The truck is really exceeding my expectations.

I've received as well. Congrats to you and hope the rest of you receive yours soon as long as you don't clog up the fast chargers I'll be using this summer :)
