Good summary - there is certainly more that a couple of things. One comment though - in my owners manual under multi-point inspection, it says:The multi-point inspection includes checking ... checking fluid levels, fill if necessary; checking for fluid leaks; .... Checking the reduction gear (transmission) fluid levels is probably the most difficult and overlooked maintenance item because you have to get under the truck and pull the skid plates to get to the reduction gears.
I read this as no need to check the gearbox fluid during the multi-point, just brake, coolant, and washer fluid.
The only mention of the gearbox fluid I can find is
In my mind it is a closed system and I would think opening it up is a good way to introduce contamination. Just check for leaks like it says. If no leaks then level likely good. Not sure what it takes to check for leaks there - does skid plate still need to be removed?
EDIT: Also would this require Frunk removal? That would take a while as well. Or can you see these from underneath?
