Can anyone recommend a mobile battery charger they have just in case the 12V battery in the fronk dies? I have read there are a lot of issues with the 12V battery dying which means the truck is DOA and needs to be towed without a charger available. I'd like to keep one in the truck and not sure if the onboard power from the non-12V battery will be available to power the charger. Suggestions welcome.

Well probably what you want is a 12V jump pack. I know others may disagree but I'm partial to an old-school lead acid one. They can still be had with the reverse polarity protection, but none that I've ever seen have that annoying issue of an automatic timeout that shuts it off right when you might need the boost to jump the car (like what was seen in Kyle's YouTube video with his leaf). Plus they can deliver way more amps so even if you need to start a friend or stranger's gas car or truck, you'll have no problem.

I don't go anywhere without mine and I keep it in the frunk so that even if the battery dies, I can use the key blade to open the driver's door and the manual backup release to open the trunk.

Here's one similar to what I have, complete with added reverse polarity protection:
