Will #2 copper wire fit in the Charge station pro? My charger is due to arrive on Monday 5/6/2024. I have a line on the #2 for a good price.

According to the bill for my install, yes, though I didn't put eyes on the terminals inside the unit.

It's fantastic at that charging rate BTW, and you will not be disappointed!

Cheers

I used #2 and it fit. For some reason you need a minimum of 8ft (I think that is what it speced) though.

I don’t believe any minimum length is specified.

I was about to go insane trying to find this because I could not find my install manual and had to search a pdf. It’s in a diagram, not a written note.

You can use 100 amp copper service wire, it's cheaper then THHN ( I found that out after ordering everything).

How long a run do you have?

Maybe the "Minimum 8 FT" refers to how far the safety switch (if needed) should be from the Charge Station Pro.

Wow, that’s bizarre. As an electrical engineer, I can’t come up with a reason for that. I have about 18” of wire between my disconnect and the FCSP.

ETA - that diagram isn’t in my manual nor did it come with my unit. I wonder what its origin is?

Yeah, I don’t know why either. The “disconnect distance” comment above makes some sense, but 8 ft? It was in my manual but this is where I took the screen shot.

I noticed the Ford part number on that manual ends in “AC”. Mine is “AB”.

If I was going specify a spacing between equipment, I wouldn’t use the word “length.”
