From other posts and videos this will only be on new trucks ordered with this equipment. Not something that can be retro fit to existing.

It's a shame that this is something they introduced midway through the model year. Ford touted these OTA updates as a way to keep getting new features on your truck and avoid having to bring it in for software updates, but 3,000 miles in and I've already had to bring the truck in for a software update and the first new feature doesn't appear to be at OTA update. I get that some things will need hardware, but you'd think Ford would save those updates for a model year change. I love my truck, but this is kind of disappointing.

It requires special hardware, so no, it has to be ordered that way, cannot retrofit on existing 2021 F-150's. The cost is $650 for the onboard scale (all trims levels can get this) and $695 for the adaptive dampeners on Lariat and above.

It seems like they could use the rear sensors that are already on the trucks with adaptive headlights to enable a version of it.
