Does the mirror panel just pop off and expose the wires? All the YouTube videos are for older models. And why did you hardwire?

The mirror tap jumpers into the connection on the back of the mirror.

Was super easy but I did use volt meter to check which color port to tap.

Black wire on back of mirror is positive and green wire is ground. Sounds backwards but it’s not.

yes this is correct, Green is ground and Black is Positive...
